Cádiz Free Trade Zone brings the opportunities of the Blue Economy to Murcia through Blue Core

The Cádiz Consortium has held a conference that has brought together companies, entrepreneurs, technology centers and institutions to explore new opportunities for innovation, financing and growth in sectors linked to the Blue Economy

Blue Core en Ruta is part of the strategy of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone to position and extend its ecosystem of support for blue entrepreneurship beyond the Cadiz province

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone continues to expand the reach of Blue Core with a new Blue Core en Ruta stop, the initiative designed to bring the opportunities of the Blue Economy closer to the main maritime, technological and business ecosystems of the country.

The event took place this Friday at the facilities of the Naval and Sea Technology Center (CTN), in Fuente Álamo (Murcia), where companies, entrepreneurs, entities and professionals linked to the maritime-marine sector have been able to learn first-hand about the tools and programs that Blue Core makes available for innovative projects related to the sea.

The day has been aimed at initiatives linked to areas such as coastal and maritime tourism, port logistics, aquaculture and fishing, blue biotechnology, engineering, robotics, renewable energies, the circular economy or the integral water cycle, among other strategic sectors of the Blue Economy.

Beyond an entrepreneurship support program, Blue Core offers a comprehensive ecosystem designed to accompany companies and projects in all phases of their development. From the validation of a business idea to its expansion into new markets, participating initiatives can access training, financing, acceleration, internationalization and specialized mentoring services. Added to this is Blue Core 360, a strategic support tool that connects companies with experts and resources adapted to their real needs, helping them identify opportunities, overcome challenges and accelerate their growth.

The meeting was inaugurated by Noelia Ortega, CEO of the Naval and Sea Technology Center; Javier Noriega Hernández, president of the Andalusian Maritime Marine Cluster; and Fermín Rol Rol, head of the Strategic Projects and Innovation Area of the Port Authority of Cartagena.

The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Zone, Fran González, welcomed the attendees and presented the opportunities and lines of action that Blue Core offers to promote the growth of companies and innovative projects linked to the Blue Economy.

The program has also included a round table under the title "Networks to promote the economy and the blue company. Success stories", in which representatives of the European Business and Innovation Center of Cartagena, the Naval and Maritime Technology Center and the Cartagena Port of Cultures participated. The objective has been to share experiences and analyze opportunities for collaboration between the different agents that are part of the blue ecosystem.

Blue Core en Ruta was born with the vocation to connect territories, generate alliances and bring the Blue Core ecosystem closer to those spaces where innovation, technology and entrepreneurship find in the sea an opportunity to create economic and social value.

The Murcia stop is part of the Blue Core route, an initiative with which the Cádiz Free Trade Zone is bringing the opportunities of the Blue Economy to different territories with a strong link with the sea and innovation. After passing through Murcia, the program will continue its journey on July 1 in Almería and July 3 in Motril, reinforcing a collaboration network that connects companies, entrepreneurs, technology centers and institutions around the development of the Blue Economy.

With this new stop, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone reinforces its commitment to creating collaboration networks between territories and promoting innovative business projects that contribute to the sustainable development of the Blue Economy.

The Blue Core project is 85% financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain 2021-2027, within the framework of priority P1A of the Nurseries 4.0 High Technology Incubators Program, intended to promote a digital and intelligent transition.
