The improvement works of one of the warehouses of the old Altadis in the Free Trade Zone are progressing at a good pace and reach 50% completion

The delegate of the Consortium, Fran González, accompanied by part of his technical team and managers of the construction company, visited today the work of the property known as APT

The facility, highly sought after due to its excellent location, is expected to be ready for occupancy and contract signing this summer.

The Altadis area in the interior complex is undergoing renovation works for its complete commercialization and already has an occupancy of more than 70%

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, accompanied by part of his technical team and managers of the company in charge of the work, Construcciones Manzano, visited today the improvement works of the warehouse known as APT (Finished Products Warehouse) in the Altadis area in the interior of the Free Trade Zone and has supervised their status, which is already 50% complete.

These adaptation tasks of the property, which has a total constructed area of 6,493 m2 and is in high demand due to its excellent location, are being carried out for its imminent commercialization and it is expected that it will be ready for occupation this summer.

Specifically, the work being carried out, which has a total budget of €1,267,237.08 (VAT not included), consists of the comprehensive rehabilitation and technical adaptation of the property, providing it with structural safety, waterproofing and adequate facilities for its future use as a warehouse and offices, with actions on the roof and structure, floor repair and actions on the façade, carpentry and electrical installation.

Fran González has supervised the work and has been able to verify the good progress of the work, which "soon will be ready for marketing." González highlighted that "the rehabilitation works will allow us to continue marketing quality facilities and complete the occupation of this part of the premises, the only one that has spaces, and continue configuring our innovative ecosystem with the incorporation of new firms."

The part of the interior of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz that belonged to the old Altadis is an ideal place that arouses great interest among potential clients. The marketing of these spaces is already at more than 70% occupancy, with the recent incorporation of important firms that have joined the innovative and technological fabric of the Cádiz Consortium.

In the Altadis area, there has gone from having spaces of more than 150,000 square meters of inactive industrial land with no commercialization prospects, to occupying seven out of every ten productive meters of this plot. Thus, the work of the commercial department has managed to attract the Civil Guard, which has its Strait Maritime Group and Maritime Service Improvement Center in what is known as the Cruz Building (2,517 m2); to which was added Rospa (2,120 m2), Elecam (3,688m2), Dragados Offshore (13,500 m2) and the latest addition of Dreexo Energy (51,167m2) which is installed on the plots left after the dismantling of mechanized warehouses that took place in 2020.

It is important to remember that the rest of the tax area of the Cádiz Free Zone is full and its occupancy is around 100%, especially in the industrial spaces, occupancy that fluctuates minimally due to the rotation of the clients themselves given the high existing demand.

The marketing strategy of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone through these spaces has also required an investment commitment to the gradual recovery of the equipment, which has also been felt in the rest of the tax area, with the Comprehensive Modernization Plan, which has involved an investment of more than 1.5 million euros in different works.
