Zona Franca participates in Algeciras in the II Forum of Women Leaders

The director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Rocío García-Delgado, has highlighted the importance of the female presence in companies and their relevant role in the energy transition

The director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Rocío García-Delgado, participated today in Algeciras in the II Forum of Women Leaders that was held in the Millán Picazo Auditorium, converted for the second consecutive year into the epicenter of the debate on the Green Economy In Andalucia. The event has had the support of entities such as the Commonwealth of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar, CEPSA, the Association of Large Industries of Campo de Gibraltar (AGI), the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, EVOS, and Grupo Piedra, among other collaborators.

The representative of the Cádiz Consortium has participated in the panel of experts entitled “How do we face the challenges of the Green Economy in the Campo de Gibraltar? Challenges and opportunities” and in it she has shared a table with Ana Quirós, responsible for the Environment of the Bahía de Algeciras Port Authority; Pilar Cañete Pérez, general secretary of the Association of Large Industries of the Campo de Gibraltar (AGI); Mariola San Miguel, director of Quality and Environment of Grupo Piedra; moderated by the head of External Communications and IR at Cepsa, Estrella Blanco López.

Rocío García Delgado has highlighted the importance of the female presence in companies and the relevant role in the energy transition, highlighting the Blue Economy incubator of the Free Zone of Cádiz, Incubazul, where female entrepreneurship and talent stands out.

The forum, which was held under the motto “Women and the Green Economy: Generating value through equality”, has focused on the relevance of female talent as an engine for the advancement of this strategic sector, which has a profound impact social, economic and environmental. In addition, it is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda, emphasizing the commitment to gender equality.
