The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Castellar de la Frontera, Juan Casanova, met yesterday to talk about the development of the Acuaponía environmental project on the La Almoraima farm in that municipality. During the meeting, Jorge Ramos presented the first mayor with the document for the implementation of the complex.
The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz and the Castellar City Council will sign an agreement to carry out the aforementioned project, totally ecological and careful with the environment, which consists of producing fish and plants in the same cycle in recirculation systems, combining it with complementary activities linked to ecotourism with nature classrooms, green spaces and leisure.
This initiative will be especially careful with the surroundings and the environment, for which the planned facilities are located in exactly the same locations, currently in ruins, where the old military installations were located, disused for many years.
