Zona Franca participates in the Impulsores de la Bahía exhibition to transmit the strength of the Cádiz business fabric

17 entities, including companies and institutions, come together to set up a tour of the tradition, achievements and challenges of the Bay industry

It can be visited from July 28 to 31, during the Regatta

The exhibition Bay Boosters, with which the Cadiz industrial and business fabric will participate in the 2016 Regatta, from July 28 to 31, was presented this Friday by the presidents of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz (APBC), José Luis Blanco, and of Gades-Port, Bernardino Copano.

The event was also attended by Tania Barcelona, Chief of Staff of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium - who excused the attendance of the delegate, Jorge Ramos -; Javier Becerra, member of the Airbus Group steering committee; Francisco Javier Copano, general director of Bernardino Abad, and Jesús Otero, general director of Europa Group, as sponsors of the initiative in which seven other companies have participated as collaborators.

With the collaboration of everyone, an exhibition space has been created – in addition to a restaurant area – that covers three thematic areas: tradition, achievements and challenges; linked to the industry and business fabric in general of the Bay of Cádiz, as the president of Gades-Port explained during the presentation.

“We are the economic and social engine of the Bay and we wanted to show and demonstrate it in this exhibition, which can be visited during the Regatta,” said Bernardino Copano.

The exhibition has a double objective: on the one hand, to exhibit the pride of what the industries and companies of the Bay are and do, have been and will be able to do in the future. The second objective of the exhibition is the pedagogical and informative nature.

The president of the APBC, for his part, previewed some of the content that can be seen on the tour, such as a classic 19th century diving equipment, a logbook, a prototype of the air intake of the A400M military aircraft, an altitude rudder from the Airbus family of aircraft, the landing buoy of the Port of Cádiz and even a superhero, the Superimpulsor, who will star in the space dedicated to children.
