Free Trade Zone closes the program to Improve the Competitiveness of MicroSMEs in La Línea

The businesses participating in the program, which closed with the delivery of diplomas, are committed to job creation

The Special Delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, Jorge Ramos, spoke yesterday in La Línea at the closing ceremony of the Micro-SMEs Competitiveness Improvement program, aimed at promoting the business fabric, improving the management of SMEs and promoting self-employment, and of which the Consortium is co-financing together with the European Social Fund.

Along with the delegate, the presentation of diplomas to the participants was attended by the president of the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Fenoy, and Jorge Hierro, director of this program of the INCYDE Foundation, as well as the deputy mayor and Employment delegate of the La Línea City Council, Belén Serrano García.

The balance expected by the businesses participating in the program is the generation of up to 20 new jobs after a total of twenty business projects have benefited from it, all of them from the commerce and services sector that, after five weeks of intense group training and mentoring, have consolidated a global action plan based on improving the relationship with customers in business, both at the point of sale itself and on the Internet, with the design of a strategic plan in the new social media.
Jorge Ramos congratulated the participants and expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved in relation to the creation of up to 20 new jobs. In his speech, Ramos reflected on the role that the Administration and institutions play in supporting companies and entrepreneurs, true generators of employment and wealth, explaining that entrepreneurs are the true architects of improving the productive model of this province, always below the national and Andalusian average, even in good times.
For this reason, he encouraged them to continue working and to count on the Cádiz Free Zone as an entity with a provincial vocation, a Free Zone that is present throughout the province and will be even more so in the coming years, since Ramos's commitment is to create new fiscal spaces in the province and specifically in La Línea, where efforts are being carried out together with its City Council to locate a fiscal precinct that counteracts the problems of Gibraltar and provides attractive customs and fiscal advantages to the other side of the fence
For his part, Carlos Fenoy, expressed his satisfaction with the balance of the program and congratulated the businesses for their commitment to employment after its completion. “These data encourage us to maintain continuity in our policy of supporting small businesses, committed to making different initiatives available to the commercial fabric, whether our own, such as the Service Quality Seal or mobile applications, or developed by the Central Government, through the Comprehensive Support Plan for Retail Trade, or by the Junta de Andalucía,” Fenoy explained.

The deputy mayor, Belén Serrano, also wanted to celebrate the participation of businesses in this type of initiatives that are a commitment to innovation.

For his part, the director of the program, Jorge Hierro, encouraged businesses to continue working on their improvement plans since the incorporation of digital strategies will make it possible for them to reach new consumers.

Program Features

This program to Improve the Competitiveness of MicroSMEs of the INCYDE Foundation has been structured into 160 hours, 12 of them in person and the rest intended for individualized tutorials adapted to the time needs of the participants. In this way, the course has been organized into joint training sessions and individual consultancies that have made it possible to offer specific training adapted to the demands posed by each merchant. The program has resulted in the development of 20 improvement plans aimed at improving sales and which have been supervised by a team of consultants who are experts in the subjects taught.

The contents have been distributed into four modules in which different areas of the company's activity have been addressed: general checkup of the establishment; window dressing and interior architecture; marketing and digital strategy; new technologies and computer solutions.
