The Consortium requests from the Andalusian Government a clear and unequivocal definition on the use and future of that site, in which 11 million euros have been invested.
The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has requested a meeting with the Junta de Andalucía through its delegate in Cádiz, to make them see the situation of the plot of land owned by the Free Zone and destined for the new hospital in Cádiz.
The Consortium will explain, to whoever has the competence in health matters and to whom it is up to decide whether or not to undertake the aforementioned hospital, the situation that this is causing to this Institution, which has invested 11 million euros in a plot of land, based on an agreement signed in 2008 and which to date has not been fulfilled.
The deterioration of such a situation is clear: 11 million euros that weigh like a slab on the Free Trade Zone and a plot of land that, due to its classification as healthcare facilities, cannot be used for any other purpose.
This situation, for the Special Delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, needs clarification between the parties, since it is clear that the Consortium did its duties, others have not done them, and consequently a solution must be found that can be shared between the parties.
Ramos has announced that he is open to any solution, except to continue installed in the current one and, to do so, he will require the Junta de Andalucía to acquire the aforementioned plot of land for its development when it can and deems appropriate; and even accept proposals for exchanges of other assets of the Junta de Andalucía that can be valued and developed by this Institution.
Ramos concluded by stating that this issue must be addressed once and for all and that involves finding a solution that satisfies everyone but, at the same time, puts an end to the current situation in which the only loser is clearly the Free Trade Zone.
