The Executive Committee of the Free Zone authorized the Cádiz Institution in the meeting held on Tuesday morning to proceed with the signing of the agreement with the Cádiz City Council that will allow the Consortium to purchase the existing facilities in the newly built Carranza Stadium Grandstand.
This is the only space in the Carranza Building that the Consortium does not yet own, since all the offices and premises of Preferencia, Fondo Sur and Fondo Norte have been marketed by the Free Trade Zone and have almost 100% occupancy.
The agreement affects the ground floor and the first floor of the Grandstand, with an area of 5,749.81 m², to which 701.62 m should be added² on the same ground floor and first lower tier, the entirety of which would be used primarily for commercial use. The Free Trade Zone will be able to acquire these spaces by attending the auction that the City Council calls for this purpose.
On the other hand, the agreement also contemplates a purchase option on the spaces between the third and seventh floors, with a total area of 17,110.56 m.², which would be destined for the installation of a hotel, according to forecasts, and contacts are already being maintained with different companies in the hotel sector potentially interested in this strategic area of the capital.
This action is part of the line of work of the delegate of the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, who considers collaboration between institutions to be essential to create and strengthen the business fabric and economic activity and would complement the projects already started between Cádiz City Council and the Free Zone, which has its greatest exponent in the remodeling of the Outdoor Estate, which will revitalize the entire industrial zone of the city.
