APMT Technical Services has nearly 100 professionals in Algeciras who provide engineering and technical support services to the group's international network of terminals.
The company APMT Technical Services, global technical support and engineering unit of APM Terminals, will expand its facilities in the Nexus building in the Cádiz Free Zone in Algeciras with the incorporation of an additional 155.28 square meters to the 236.44 it currently occupies. In this way, the company will have a total area of 391.72 square meters of offices in this property, which represents an increase of 65.7%.
The expansion responds to the growth and consolidation of the APMT Technical Services teams and the need to adapt its work spaces to the evolution of its international activity, which it carries out from Algeciras for the company's terminals and projects in different countries.
Currently, this unit has nearly 100 professionals in Algeciras who provide specialized support to the international network of APM Terminals terminals. Its teams work in areas such as engineering, digitalization and asset improvement, contributing to the development and performance of the group's port operations on a global scale.
The incorporation of the new units will provide work environments that are better adapted to the current needs of these professionals and will encourage more agile and effective collaboration between the teams. Likewise, the expansion will allow us to support the future growth of Technical Services and reinforce the role of Algeciras as an enclave for the development of knowledge, innovation and technical capabilities at the service of the company's international network.
A service unit with international reach
APMT Technical Services carries out an activity different from that carried out by APM Terminals Algeciras, the port terminal that operates in the Port of Algeciras. While the latter concentrates its activity on port and logistics operations, Technical Services provides specialized engineering and technical support services to the company's entire global network of terminals.
In this way, the APMT Technical Services teams located in Algeciras develop international functions linked to the engineering, digitalization and improvement of assets of the group's terminals.
The expansion of its offices in the Nexus building responds to the evolution of the needs of these teams and will allow them to have new spaces for the development of their activity from Algeciras.
The Nexus building in the Free Zone
The Nexus building is part of the business space offering in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone in Campo de Gibraltar. It is located on Juan Pérez Arriete Avenue in Algeciras, next to the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce, on a 4,000 square meter plot.
