The protocol includes the free program 'Emprende y Avanza', developed with the INCYDE Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain and 85% co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus
The agreement establishes collaboration between both institutions to inform the municipality about the training actions developed by the Consortium and facilitate the participation of interested people.
The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and the mayor of Rota, José Javier Ruiz Arana, signed this Friday a protocol of intentions to establish a collaboration framework between both institutions aimed at disseminating training programs related to entrepreneurship, creation and business consolidation in the municipality.
The agreement contemplates the collaboration of the Rota City Council in the dissemination of these actions and in the recruitment of people residing in the municipality interested in participating in them, with special attention to unemployed people, young people and groups with special difficulties in finding work.
Among the actions to be disseminated is the 'Emprende y Avanza' program, which the Cádiz Free Zone develops in collaboration with the INCYDE Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain.
The program includes different free training actions aimed at entrepreneurship and business creation and consolidation and has as its scope the entire Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
'Emprende y Avanza' is 85% co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), charged to the State Program for Employment, Education,
Training and Social Economy.
The signed protocol establishes the objectives of expanding the dissemination and territorial reach of the training programs on entrepreneurship, facilitating the access of the citizens of Rota to this training offer, increasing the participation of people from the municipality, promoting entrepreneurial culture and self-employment and generating synergies between municipal employment and local economic development policies and the training programs of the Free Zone.
Diffusion of the calls
The Rota City Council will disseminate the calls for training actions through its official communication channels, including the municipal website, social networks and municipal services related to employment and local development.
Likewise, it will collaborate in the detection and recruitment of participants residing in Rota and may facilitate, depending on their availability, municipal spaces for holding training courses.
The City Council will also distribute the information materials provided by the Free Trade Zone in its offices and refer interested people to the registration channels enabled for each of the training actions.
For its part, the Free Zone will provide the City Council, with the necessary advance notice, with the information and materials corresponding to the different calls, including content for web pages and social networks, registration deadlines and access requirements.
The Consortium will also keep the City Council informed about the calendar of training actions, the places available and their results, as well as the number of people from the municipality registered or participating in the activities.
Valid until the end of the year
The protocol does not entail a financial or budgetary commitment for either of the two institutions, so each of the parties will assume with their own material and human resources the dissemination, dissemination and recruitment actions that correspond to them.
The agreement comes into force with its signature and will be valid until December 31, 2026, the scheduled date for the end of the 'Emprende y Avanza' program. The document contemplates the possibility of extending it by express written agreement of both parties before its expiration.
Visit to the Rota Tourist Hub
After the signing of the protocol, the State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and the mayor of Rota, José Javier Ruiz Arana, toured the facilities of 'La Plaza · Rota Tourist Hub', a municipal space located in the Torre de la Merced and the upper floor of the Central Food Market, intended for activities related to entrepreneurship, innovation and the development of business and tourism projects.
The center, financed by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funds, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Rota Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, has offices, shared work spaces (coworking), multipurpose rooms and areas for meetings and training activities, in addition to equipment such as a 3D printer and a video podcast room. Among the activities planned at these facilities are also training actions on artificial intelligence, business development and smart cities.
