Last week, the Executive Committee of the Consortium awarded the company Guerola Infraestructuras the execution of the property that will be located next to Zona Base Incubazul and Plaza Sistemas, which will be located in front of the Europa building in the tax area.
It is expected that the works on both buildings will be completed within a period of 18 and 14 months respectively.

The projects of both buildings stand out for their parameters of sustainability and use of free and common spaces and represent another step in the Consortium's strategy to consolidate Cádiz as a hub of the Blue Economy and innovation.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has awarded the works for the two buildings that will be built within the framework of the project ZF Blue Core, an initiative that consolidates the Cádiz Free Trade Zone's commitment to the Blue Economy after the launch of the Incubazul incubator and which has a global investment of 10.3 million euros.
The two 4.0 business centers, whose work will begin after the summer, will be carried out in two different locations, one next to the recycled maritime container building of the Incubazul Base Zone in the outer industrial area of the Free Trade Zone and the other in front of the Europa building of the tax precinct. Both awards have been authorized by the Executive Committee of the Cádiz Consortium in its last meeting held last Thursday.
The first of the properties, in the outer industrial estate, will be built by the company Guerola Construcciones within a period of 18 months and with an award amount of 4,466,083.95 euros (VAT not included) with the parameters designated by the Cadiz architect Jaime Torres, from the Uncuarto Arquitectura studio, author of the project, which was presented publicly at the end of last year.
The building will have a useful area of 4,015.87 m2 and will be made up of two floors for offices and warehouses, an attic for celebrations and events and a basement dedicated to parking. The entire complex will have a large terrace for common use and to promote coexistence and networking.
The second building, which will be located in the tax area, will have a completion period of 14 months and has been awarded to the company Plaza Sistemas for an amount of 2,982,152.12 euros (VAT not included). The construction will be governed by the project drawn up by the young architects of the firm Estudio Veintidós, Manuel Infantes and Javier Muñoz Godino, who have been the authors of this project.
This property will have a planned useful area of 4,268.12 m2 and will have two floors, with photovoltaic solar panels for self-consumption. The building will be made up of 13 warehouses of different sizes connected by an upper gallery. There will be an access and reception area, where there will also be a rest area and a communication core that connects it with an upper gallery.
All work and networking spaces are configured around a bioclimatic patio that allows for redistributing flows, optimizing movements and efficiently controlling humidity and temperature.
Both properties will be one more step in the Blue Economy and innovation ecosystem of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, which is consolidating the province as a hub and benchmark for the sector. And the properties are built within the framework of the ZF Blue Core project, a complement and continuity of the Incubazul startup incubator and, with a total investment of 10.3 million euros co-financed 85% by Feder Funds, they will be two 4.0 company buildings for the development and consolidation of innovative projects, promoting entrepreneurship and the creation of new companies.
In fact, the buildings, which have a total useful area of nearly 9,000 square meters, will have a modern construction and design that allows the modulation of the spaces depending on the needs expressed by the companies and will be ideal spaces for the development of innovation and research initiatives.
It must be remembered that the ZF Blue Core project aims to promote and consolidate innovative companies linked to the Blue Economy, whether or not they have gone through the acceleration program of the Free Zone incubator, Incubazul, although its vocation is to serve as a bridge for those initiatives that receive personalized advice in the incubator and need a new framework before becoming a real part of the Blue Economy ecosystem of the province. It is a 4.0 center where companies can finish consolidating and advance throughout the entire digital framework of the project thanks to a technological laboratory and specialized mentoring.
The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, explained that "these buildings come to reinforce our ecosystem and make it easier for entrepreneurs to launch and consolidate their initiatives and projects. In our ecosystem, the ZF Blue Core project acquires special relevance, which will not only provide continuity, strengthen and accommodate those companies that leave the Incubazul acceleration program but also makes quality services and equipment available to any innovative and technological company linked to the Blue Economy, contributing to the development of companies. and job creation.”
Fran González has stressed that "with both projects we will be able to make available to the Blue Economy ecosystem nearly 9,000 square meters of useful surface intended for innovation and business promotion. These are buildings with great visual impact due to their modernity and rupture, along the lines of the incubator, which also incorporate technical innovations that result not only in energy efficiency but also think about the circular economy and sustainability in their construction and materials."
The ZF Blue Core-Business Incubator 4.0 project is 85% financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain FEDER 2021-2027 through the INCYDE Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce within the framework of Priority: P1A. of the High Technology Nurseries 4.0 Incubators Program, aimed at promoting a digital and intelligent Transition and, within it, in Specific Objective 1.3 "Strengthening the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and the creation of jobs in them, also through productive investments."
