Intense contact agenda of the representatives of the Consortium management team during their stay in the Panamanian capital
The Cádiz Consortium, together with those responsible for the other Spanish free zones, has participated in the AZFA General Assembly and has been received by the Spanish ambassador in Panama
The Cádiz Free Trade Zone stand has received numerous visitors, very interested in the projects and advantages of the Cádiz tax precinct, whose representatives have in turn learned about Propanamá and the Colón Free Zone, among other entities.
The Cádiz Free Zone has maintained an intense agenda of contacts and has strengthened ties with different entities and companies during its stay in the Panamanian capital for the celebration of the World Congress of Free Zones, which has brought together political and business leaders from around the world from May 12 to 14.
The Cádiz Consortium has been represented by the director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Marta Domínguez, and the director of the Financial Area and Blue Economy, José Manuel Fedriani, who have been accompanied by those responsible for other Spanish free zones that have also attended the global event, specifically Vigo, Barcelona, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
The projects, facilities and advantages offered by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone have had significant visibility in the world forum since the Cádiz Consortium has been present with a stand in the exhibitors' area, a stand that has led to numerous contacts, and has also offered this possibility to one of the startups of its Blue Economy ecosystem, EONSEA, for which it has served as an international platform to promote its services.
It should be remembered that EONSEA is currently participating in the Blue Core Exterior program and is a technological startup specialized in the inspection, monitoring and analysis of underwater infrastructure, which combines advanced robotics and Artificial Intelligence to optimize the management of submerged assets.
Visits to companies and free zones
The agenda of the representatives of the Cádiz management team has been very complete. The reception at the Spanish Embassy was the first of a series of visits in which both those responsible for the Cádiz Free Zone and those of the other Spanish free zones have been able to learn first-hand about Panamanian companies, entities and free zones.
Marta Domínguez and Jose Manuel Fedriani have visited Propanamá, a government entity that develops and implements strategies to attract investments and promote exports, which contribute to the economic and social development of the Latin American country. During the meeting they established contact and analyzed possible avenues for collaboration, while at the same time they presented the equipment of the Cádiz tax precinct.
The Cádiz Free Trade Zone stand at the world congress has also received numerous visits, highlighting those from the heads of BASC Panama, an international business alliance that promotes safe trade in cooperation with governments, international organizations and the private sector, and representatives from the Paita Special Development Zone of Peru.
Another of the strong points of the visit to the Latin American country, scheduled for the closing of the conference, has been the visit to the Panama Canal, the great world engineering work that connects the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean through the isthmus of Panama, and to the Colón Free Zone, the second largest free trade zone in the world and one of the multimodal distribution centers with global leadership, with which ties have been strengthened and they have been invited to participate in the XXIX Conference of Free Zones Ibero-American Games held in Cádiz in October.
Precisely, the meeting of global free zones has served as the setting for the celebration of the general assembly of the Association of Free Zones of the Americas (AZFA), which is already making preparations for the event to be held in the capital of Cadiz.
The Spanish presence at the congress has allowed the opening of the Cádiz Free Zone to global free zones, since the event brought together more than 1,500 public policy makers, business leaders and high-level executives of free zones from different regions of the world.
Both the financial and Blue Economy director and the director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade of the Cádiz Free Zone have taken advantage of their stay in Panama to strengthen ties and contacts with free zones, entities and companies in Latin America, especially Colombia, as a result of previous trade missions.
