Zona Franca begins the Blue Core internationalization program with 15 Blue Economy projects

The initiatives stand out for their innovative nature in areas such as artificial intelligence, marine biotechnology, naval engineering, environmental sustainability, digitalization and food linked to the marine environment.

With the start of the internationalization accelerator and the incorporation of these companies, the Consortium continues to consolidate and expand the Blue Economy ecosystem from Cádiz

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has welcomed 15 business projects in the first edition of Blue Exterior, the internationalization program promoted by Blue Core, the 4.0 business incubator specialized in Blue Economy in a meeting held yesterday afternoon in the new Incubazul Base Zone building.

The program, which will be developed over the next two months, aims to accompany innovative companies and projects in defining their international strategy, facilitating their access to new markets through an intensive itinerary that combines strategic advice, specialized mentoring and individualized support.

The selected projects have passed an evaluation process in accordance with the rules of the call and have been evaluated by a team of experts in internationalization and business development, thus guaranteeing their growth potential in global environments.

Innovation with an international vocation

The 2026 edition of Blue Exterior stands out for the sectoral diversity of the participating initiatives, which range from advanced technological solutions to proposals linked to sustainability, the circular economy or the valorization of marine resources.

Among the selected projects are technology companies such as ActionTracker, which develops solutions based on IoT and artificial intelligence for asset management in industrial environments; EONSEA, specialized in underwater robotics for infrastructure monitoring; or Macaon, which promotes conversational artificial intelligence systems applied to port environments.

In the field of biotechnology and blue innovation, initiatives such as Alga Málaga stand out, focused on the production of algae biomass for sectors such as food or cosmetics, or Pigmenta Algae, which is committed to artistic creation from natural marine pigments.

The maritime engineering and technology sector is represented by projects such as ATRIDEL, a consolidated company in naval and offshore engineering, or Black Sand Marine, specialized in intelligent platforms for monitoring the marine environment.

Likewise, the program has proposals focused on sustainability and territorial development, such as Trafalgar Environmental Consulting, with extensive experience in environmental management and the Blue Economy.

Food, tradition and innovation

The agri-food and gastronomic field also has a prominent weight in this edition, with projects that combine tradition, innovation and sustainability.

This is the case of Escaramujo Wines, which develops an underwater winery for aging wines at sea; Flavoom, focused on the valorization of agricultural surpluses into sustainable food products; Productos La Salá, which works with salicornia and products from the natural environment of the Bay of Cádiz; and Salaria Productos, which is committed to the production of source sea salt with high gastronomic value.

Digitalization, tourism and new business models

Other projects such as IDRA, aimed at agricultural digitalization through IoT sensors for water optimization, or EggOn, an artificial intelligence platform focused on traceability and energy efficiency, reflect the key role of technology in the transformation of productive sectors.

The program is completed with innovative proposals in the field of blue tourism, such as A Todo Vela – Sea Starlight, which combines navigation and astronomy to offer sustainable and differential experiences.

A step towards global markets

With the launch of Blue Exterior, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone reinforces its commitment to accompanying companies not only in their development, but also in their international projection, providing tools and knowledge to transform their potential into real business opportunities in global markets.

Blue Exterior is part of the Incubazul – Blue Core ecosystem, which has already supported more than 100 business projects and continues to expand its lines of action with specific programs such as Blue Accelerator (business acceleration), Blue Financing (access to investment) and Blue Core 360, a service voucher designed to improve the competitiveness of companies.

The Blue Core project is 85% financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain 2021-2027, within the framework of priority P1A of the Nurseries 4.0 High Technology Incubators Program, intended to promote a digital and intelligent transition.
