The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has exhibited its cold logistics potential and its strategic location at Fruit Attraction 2024, which is held from October 8 to 10 organized by Ifema Madrid and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters (FEPEX). ) and in which Andalusia is this year's guest region.
The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, accompanied by the director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Marta Domínguez, has held various meetings with national and international companies to present the facilities that the tax area has for cold logistics , which add up to a total of 8,686.72 m2 of surface and a cold storage volume of 76,118.36 m3.
The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has exhibited its logistical strengths, with more than 600,000m2 of tax land strategically distributed in the two tax precincts managed by the Cádiz Consortium in the province, that of the Bay of Cádiz and that of the Bay of Algeciras. Both provide the backbone of the logistics capacity of the province of Cádiz and offer customs and tax advantages to operators linked to foreign trade.
The delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, has pointed out that “a forum of these characteristics is of strategic importance for all of us who work in the logistics sector since large operators and firms from the main international markets meet at Fruit Attraction. and allows us to make commercial contacts and generate new business and investment opportunities for our land.”

In this way, the autonomous community reaches 175 companies and has 7,000 m2 in what has been called 'Andalusia Zone' reserved for firms in the region. This area represents 10% of the total fruit and vegetable exhibition and positions the Andalusian autonomous community as the Spanish territory with the largest exhibition space.
Cádiz also has a large presence at the fair, where the fruit and vegetable companies are joined by the port community of Cádiz, which is also highly represented, contributing its capacity and logistics infrastructure, with firms and entities such as the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz. , Bernardino Abad, Boluda Lines, Macpherson Surveyors, Mediterranean Shipping and PTP Group, among others.
This year Fruit Attraction has 2,146 exhibiting companies from 56 countries, which represents an increase of 7% compared to last year. In total, 70,000 m2 of surface and the assistance of more than 100,000 professionals from 145 countries. This fair brings together fruit and vegetable companies and the entire value chain that revolves around them, such as auxiliary industry, companies that solve the transport and cold storage supply chain or port logistics.
In fact, one of the stands at Fruit Attraction is the one led by Puertos del Estado, which covers 15 state-owned ports (Algeciras, Barcelona, Bilbao, Cádiz, Cartagena, Castellón, Huelva, Las Palmas, Málaga, Motril, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Seville, Tarragona, Valencia and Vigo).
