Cadiz, April 26, 2023

The Board of Directors of Cádiz Port held a working breakfast this morning at the headquarters of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone with the aim of strengthening ties between both entities and carrying out joint actions with which to strengthen the competitiveness and opportunities of port-logistics and trade-related activity in the Bay of Cádiz.

The State delegate in the Consortium, Fran González, welcomed the group and presented through a presentation the main lines of work that the Fiscal Institution is currently developing, encouraging the representatives of the Association for the Promotion of the Port of Cádiz to explore new avenues of collaboration that generate more dynamism around the economic activity of international trade and the logistics sector of the province.

In this sense, González, who has been accompanied by the director of Business Promotion and Foreign Trade, Rocío García-Delgado, has specified that Zona Franca and Cádiz Port "can add opportunities by going hand in hand in commercial missions, both national and international, in which a joint offer of all the logistical-port potential of the Bay is projected, which has the fiscal area with a wide range of advantages for internationalization and all the port services offered by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz and the entire port community.”

“It is about multiplying opportunities, obtaining more visibility and reaching a broader group, showing the strengths of the Bay's logistics hub – which will be greatly reinforced with the development of LÓGICA – collaborating and showing a joint offer of logistical and industrial land and services that attracts opportunities to our province,” explained Fran González.

For his part, Daniel Macpherson, appointed president of Cádiz Port at the end of last year, has thanked the Free Trade Zone for being able to have this type of meeting that allows them to agree on lines of work to improve the joint offer of both entities, optimizing resources that allow a greater projection of the port community it represents.
