The execution of the works in the UE-ZF-08 A will go in parallel to the construction of the building with recycled maritime containers that will house the blue economy incubator and whose first stone was laid on the 8th by the Minister of Finance
The Governing Body of the Consortium has also authorized the works of the electrical infrastructure necessary in the same Execution Unit to provide service to the Base-Incubazul Zone.
In its last meeting, the Executive Committee of the Free Zone of Cádiz has approved the file for the start of the urbanization work of the Execution Unit UE-ZF-08 A, in the outer polygon of the Free Zone, where the Base Zone-Incubazul will be located. The urbanization tasks of the plot will go in parallel with the construction of the building that will house the blue economy incubator and whose first stone was laid on July 8 by the Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero.
The execution of the work, on a total area of 4,586 m2, has a budget of 1,010,857.19 (VAT not included) and a period of 6 months. The actions affect Gibraltar and Algeciras streets, in addition to a newly created road, in the extension of Tarifa street.
The works will include the renovation of the existing steelwork, the creation of new free spaces, the execution of part of the new road, as well as the execution of all the necessary services such as sanitation, supply, irrigation network, communications network, medium and low voltage networks and public lighting network.
Along these lines, the Executive Committee has also authorized the works to carry out the necessary electrical infrastructure, which will include a transformation center and medium voltage lines for connection to the existing network, and which will provide service to the Base Zone technological innovation and expansion center and the rest of the Execution Unit, with an execution budget of 772,472.51 euros (VAT not included).
The installation of the separating network of the stormwater and fecal sanitation networks will also be carried out, as well as the replacement of the paving in its connection to the existing pumping station, located in the fiscal area. The cost of the works is 478,157.78 euros (VAT not included) and the execution period is 4 months.
It must be remembered that the segregated execution unit UE-ZF-08-A corresponds to the one that belonged to the former Ibérica AGA and on its land the Base Zone project will be developed, a technological space with a building with a modular structure with maritime containers that in its first phase includes the launch of the high-tech incubator based on the Blue Economy, which is already operating in the Europa building and which is subsidized with European funds within the Framework of the ERDF Operational Program.
