The Díaz Cubero company will be in charge of the work for an amount of 2,311,687.48 euros (VAT not included) and a completion period of 14 months
The processing is completed with this step after the recent final approval, also by the City Council, of the urbanization and reparcelling
The blue economy incubator, Incubazul, will be permanently housed in this building.
The Free Zone of Cádiz can now begin the construction of the Base Zone container building where the Incubazul blue economy incubator will be permanently housed after having obtained today the construction license from the Cádiz City Council that allows it to begin work on the plot located in UE-ZF-08-A of the outer polygon of the Free Zone.
This step completes a complex and long procedure, once the urbanization and reparcelling projects of the plot that formerly belonged to Ibérica Aga in the outer industrial estate have also been definitively approved and which will be a benchmark in sustainable construction and originality, seeing that it will serve as a stimulus to the entire industrial area of the capital.
To speed up the process, the Consortium has already put out to tender and awarded the work, so the work can begin as quickly as possible and the Díaz Cubero company will be in charge, which will carry out the construction work of the emblematic building with a budget of 2,311,687.48 euros (VAT not included) and a completion period of 14 months.
Zona Base is going to be an innovative space for entrepreneurship and technological expansion with an emblematic building made up of recycled maritime containers with a ground-breaking aesthetic that wants to break the dynamics of industrial construction in Cádiz and that will be the headquarters of Incubazul, the incubator that is already underway and that carries out its work in the Europa building of the fiscal precinct while the work is completed.
Both the building and the Incubazul business incubation and acceleration program are financed by European funds within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2014-2020, “A way of making Europe” through the Incyde Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce.
The building has been designed by the architects of the Carquero Arquitectura studio, who have thought of it as a reference center that will be a catalyst for the entire industrial area of the Cadiz capital and a model to follow in sustainable industry.
The innovative property will have a total constructed area of 1,951.33 m2 and 1,415.73 m2 of terraces and open spaces and is made up of three floors in height, in addition to the ground floor. All floors will have terraces and free spaces and the ground floor includes coworking, training rooms, a cafeteria and bicycle parking, as well as surface parking on the same plot. Seven offices have been planned on the first floor and thirteen on the second. The third floor is planned with spaces for management, meeting rooms, staff and a technological laboratory.
The process to complete this step has been long and complex due to the urban development necessary to finally obtain the building permit. Recently, the Cádiz City Council has definitively approved the urbanization and reparcelling projects. Previously, the division of the Execution Unit and the Detailed Study had to be approved.
The Cádiz Base Zone project and its blue economy incubator were born to attract industry 4.0. and generate a space of opportunity for Cádiz talent, promoting entrepreneurship and labor diversification in the city, the Bay and the province. Thus, the Consortium is committed to a sustainable economic model and respect for the environment that connects all the marine potential of our province with new business strategies that generate wealth and employment.
