There are 19 centers of these characteristics located throughout Spain that provide coverage to more than 670 entrepreneurs and micro-SMEs.
The president of the INCYDE Foundation, José Luis Bonet, and the delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, will preside over this event.
The meeting aims to generate a global ecosystem that strengthens and promotes the network of incubators by sharing synergies
The diversity of the sectors to which the incubators belong will make it possible for the meeting to be an enriching focus for attendees, who will present their experiences and serve as a reference for the future development of startups.
The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz will host the I Meeting of High Technology Incubators (IAT) of the Incyde Network, which will be held on June 6 and 7, where representatives of the 19 centers of these characteristics that are underway in Spain, financed by the FEDER Funds that INCYDE manages, will meet. Incubazul will be the host of this first edition, organizing it in collaboration with the Incyde Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce.
The facilities of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone will be the scene of a forum that aims to create a space for meeting, knowledge, innovation and networking in order to strengthen and promote the network and share synergies to strengthen each of the centers in the face of future opportunities at a national and international level.
To launch these 19 centers, INCYDE has invested a total of 31.7 million euros co-financed by FEDER funds
The 19 high-tech incubators are spread throughout the Spanish territory (Extremadura, Canary Islands, Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia, Galicia, Asturias, Aragon, Catalonia, Castilla y León and Valencia) and are focused on the transfer of technology from strategic sectors worldwide such as astrophysics, biotechnology, aquaculture, cybersecurity, water, sports, health and agri-food, among others.
This diversity of sectors will make it possible for the meeting to be an enriching focus for attendees, who will present their experiences in the development of their respective incubators, providing references and experiences of great value for the centers themselves and their startups.
The forum will be essential to share experiences in management, generating a global ecosystem that strengthens each of the centers. Transfers of good practices between them will also be generated. The Congress will be divided into two days, Monday, June 6 in the afternoon and Tuesday, June 7 in the morning.
This first edition of the Meeting of High Technology Incubators will be chaired by the president of the INCYDE Foundation, José Luis Bonet, the delegate of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and the deputy director general of management of the European Regional Development Fund, Anatolio Alonso Pardo, an indispensable tool in the creation and implementation of this network, through the FEDER funds managed by INCYDE.
The Congress will also be attended by representatives from other institutions such as the Vigo Free Zone, the Barcelona Free Zone, the Cajamar Foundation, the Córdoba City Council, the Salamanca City Council, the Gijón City Council, or the Catholic University of Murcia, among others. All of them promoters of these infrastructures.
The Incyde Foundation's High Technology Incubator Network (IAT) is currently incubating more than 670 entrepreneurs and microSMEs and is expected to reach 2,500 in the next 3 years, generating 45,000 direct jobs.
The incubator of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Incubazul, is the only one in the network whose activity is linked to the blue economy and is being developed thanks to the support of the European Union, which co-finances it, through the INCYDE Foundation, 80% by the FEDER within the Pluriregional Operational Program 2014-2020 within axis 3: Improve the Competitiveness of SMEs, Thematic Objective 3 Improve competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses, and investment priority 3 Promotion of entrepreneurship, in particular, facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas, and promoting the creation of new businesses, also through incubators.
