Cádiz Free Trade Zone launches a 3,000-hour training plan on entrepreneurship in the blue economy

Blueway is part of the actions carried out by the Blue Economy incubator, Incubazul, although anyone interested in this knowledge can access it without needing to be part of the project.

Each of the six sessions will have 500 hours divided between “How to start a successful business”, “Blue Economy” and a specialization between aquaculture, sustainable tourism and renewable energy.

The first of the itineraries begins on June 1 and will have specific training in sustainable tourism

The delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, has indicated that the program aims to generate an entrepreneurial spirit and concern for the environment and the blue economy.

The Cadiz Free Zone today presented Blueway, a training program that will be launched from June 1 and whose areas of action are entrepreneurship and the Blue Economy. This is an ambitious plan of more than 3,000 hours of training that aims to reach people interested in receiving training to put their ideas and concerns into practice.

The person in charge of the specialized company Method, Gonzalo Rodríguez, who collaborates with the Consortium in the Training Plan, participated in the presentation event, along with the delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Fran González.

This initiative is part of the actions being developed by the Blue Economy incubator of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Incubazul. It is a kind of pre-incubazul campus that is open to all citizens, without it being necessary to be housed in the incubator or be part of it.

In total there will be six editions of 500 hours each, which will have common elements in entrepreneurship and the blue economy, and a specialization in one of the verticals: aquaculture, sustainable tourism and renewable energies.

The first edition combines three blocks: The Blue Economy, How to start a successful business, and Coastal and Sustainable Tourism. The first of the courses will start on June 1 and will be carried out in two phases - from June 1 to July 22; and from September 5 to 31 - with a total of 118 teaching hours, of which 55 will be in person and 55 online, in addition to 8 practical hours in the virtual classroom.

The second of the programs has 182 teaching hours (45 in-person, 129 online and 8 practical hours in the virtual classroom) and will begin on October 1 and conclude on December 19. The Coastal and Sustainable Tourism course will also begin on June 1 and will coincide with the Blue Economy course, although with 200 teaching hours (60 in person, 132 online and 8 practical sessions in the virtual classroom).

In the selection of these specific lines, an intense field study has been carried out to see which ones have the most interest and opportunities in the current market.

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, has stressed that the “plan is open to all interested citizens, not only to incubated companies, with the aim of generating an entrepreneurial spirit, concern for the environment and the blue economy, and desire to develop ideas.”

González explained that it is “a kind of pre-Incubazul campus where some ideas could begin to take shape, where they could begin to acquire skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship and the blue economy, with a view to ending up being incubated, if the participants so wish, in our incubator.”

The person in charge of the Free Trade Zone concluded by recalling the objective of Incubazul: to promote innovation and technological transformation in Cádiz "and to do so we must not only attract companies to the incubator but also be able to generate that entrepreneurial spirit and generate that spirit that leads to a real change in the economic model. And here this Training Plan, this pre-Incubazul campus, makes complete sense, allowing us to reach more than 150 people to sow the seeds that could end up developing their full potential in the incubator and positioning Cádiz as a center of talent and commitment to the ecosystem, to our seas and oceans.”

The company in charge of training is the company Method, which has more than 20,000 training actions in its curriculum and 600,000 students who have passed through its classrooms. It is an international consulting firm specialized in training services, research and technological developments that bases its value proposition on a solid commitment to clients, collaborators and the people of the organization.

This Training Plan is part of the actions being developed by the Incubazul High Technology incubator, a project that was born thanks to the support of the European Union that co-finances it, through the INCYDE Foundation, 80% by the FEDER within the Pluriregional Operational Program 2014-2020 within axis 3: Improve the Competitiveness of SMEs, Thematic Objective 3 Improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies, and investment priority 3 Promotion of entrepreneurship, in particular, facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas, and promoting the creation of new companies, also through incubators.
