This highly qualified entrepreneurship program, which has the help of the European Social Fund and with the collaboration of the Chamber of Cádiz, is aimed at those under 30 years of age enrolled in the Youth Guarantee and will begin on March 21, with a duration of seven weeks.
Biotechnology is a key sector in the business fabric and its transversal nature favors employability in the productive fabric of the province, deepening knowledge that can also be developed through the technological incubator in Economía Azul, Incubazul.
Taking the course is free and there are between 20 and 25 places that can be applied for through the training offer on the INCYDE Foundation website.
The State delegate in the Consortium, Fran González, has highlighted “that the Free Trade Zone maintains a firm commitment to high training of the Cádiz business fabric with a transfer of R&D&I that can have practical application in strategic sectors of the province.”
The INCYDE Foundation and the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, with the collaboration of the Cádiz Chamber of Commerce, launch a new highly qualified training program in the biotechnology sector. The course, called Entrepreneurship in the Biotechnology Sector. Cádiz II will take place virtually starting next March 21 for seven weeks and is intended for people under 30 years of age enrolled in the Youth Guarantee.
This new training action, co-financed by the European Social Fund and framed in the Youth Employment Operational Program (POEJ), is added to the technological specialization program in the maritime sector that is already being taught until April 1. Both have a great transversal character and are increasingly applied in different sectors and company applications.
During the program, participants will be able to identify business opportunities around the biotechnology sector. In fact, more and more techniques, technologies and tools are emerging in response to the new needs of biotechnology companies, providing a new transversal vision at a time full of opportunities that have direct application in sectors ranging from industry to medicine, agriculture, environmental care and the marine sector.
In fact, the biotechnology field is also directly linked to the Free Zone's commitment to a new industrial model that is more sustainable and committed to the environment and which has as its banner the development of the high-tech incubator in the Blue Economy, Incubazul, co-financed with FEDER Funds within the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain Feder 2014-2020 “A way of making Europe”, within axis 3: improving the Competitiveness of SMEs.

Over the course of the seven weeks of training, participants will deepen their understanding of the importance of developing a company or business plan, oriented towards a 4.0 concept and digital transformation; They will analyze the different financing schemes, aid and incentives for technology-based projects; They will carry out and focus an effective marketing and communication plan; They will learn to prepare and interpret a financial plan and will know how to manage taxation related to R&D&i in the biotechnology sector, among other aspects.
With the start of this new training action next Monday, March 21, the State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, has positively valued “the firm commitment of the Free Zone in collaboration with INCYDE and the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz to provide youth with the best tools in the biotechnology sector, an area with multiple applications in the business sector that favors the employability of the youngest and reinforces the competitive capacity of the Cádiz productive fabric.”
“For the Free Zone it is very important to collaborate with the INCYDE Foundation and its entrepreneurial ecosystem with these training actions that create synergies and strategic alliances and, above all, with the development of Incubazul, an incubator that combines high technology with the Blue Economy and that represents a unique opportunity to attract talent and achieve the growth and consolidation of startups in the province of Cádiz,” González explained.
A program with high technological content
This program has a very similar structure to the one launched last February specialized in the maritime sector and which is being very well received by its attendees.
Once again, the program stands out for its holistic training methodology and individualized advice, proven to be effective by years of experience working in entrepreneurship, achieving sessions with high technological content and optimizing information flows between participants, aspects necessary for these initiatives to be competitive and able to reach the aforementioned markets.
A common structure of the training program has been designed consisting of group sessions, individualized tutoring and complementary online training, which will be developed in a virtual classroom (streaming). It starts from an initial presentation of five blocks that represent all the essential areas in the feasibility analysis, planning, quantification, validation and business management. Next, you are guided and tutored in a detailed analysis of each area and in the interactions of the elements that make up a business plan, as well as the logical evolution towards the management plan of your companies and businesses.
The contents will deal with project management; digital marketing; biotechnology. Life cycle of a biotech; digital transformation, companies 4.0 and internet of things (IoT); finance and legal-fiscal; and final project management.
This new collaboration of the Free Zone, INCYDE Foundation and the Chamber of Cádiz maintains the line of joint work of continuing to provide more permeable tools to the productive fabric in thriving sectors with employability, so that entrepreneurs identify business opportunities and can make the leap into the labor market with qualified technological-based training.
