A new training action takes shape in the joint work that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone is carrying out with the Incyde Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce to promote self-employment and business creation. Entrepreneurship in the biotechnology sector It is the new program that both entities have organized and that will begin on October 25, also streaming and free.
The self-employment program delves into the field of biotechnology, a sector that has increasing weight in the business landscape and with prospects of maintaining a positive and progressive evolution in the medium and long term. To a large extent, this is due to the transversal nature of biotechnology, since more and more companies from different sectors incorporate biotechnological activities into their products and services.
In fact, the biotechnology field is directly linked to the new industrial model that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone is implementing, with the blue economy and the commitment and respect for the environment, since biotechnology is applied in sectors ranging from industrial to processes that have a relationship with the sea, including agriculture, medicine and environmental care.
It must be remembered that Incubazul, the incubator linked to the blue economy of the Free Zone subsidized by Feder Funds, houses projects and ideas that develop their work with natural resources obtained from the sea, being careful and committed to the environment.
Zona Franca de Cádiz and Incyde Foundation intend that through this program, with a quota of between 22 and 25 places, bioentrepreneurs learn to identify when an idea can be a business idea, relying on a Business Plan to define the roadmap that they must follow in the implementation of their project.
The program Entrepreneurship in the Biotechnology Sector It is part of the Employment Recovery and Business Creation Plan and is aimed at businessmen and entrepreneurs in the biotechnology sector and people interested in managing small businesses in the biotechnology sector, and priority will be given to those who are currently unemployed.
This is the second of the two cycles that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and Incyde have agreed to carry out within the Operational Program for Employment, Training and Education (POEFE), which is financed by European Funds and the Gaditano Consortium.
The objective of the program is to guide businessmen and entrepreneurs in their work of both creating and consolidating a company in the biotechnology sector, identifying business opportunities around the biotechnology sector and understanding the importance of developing a company or business plan, oriented towards a 4.0 concept and digital transformation, among other tasks.
The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, thanks the Incyde Foundation and the Chambers of Commerce for their collaboration in these training actions, which "are very valuable in promoting entrepreneurship and business creation and that help bring to light interesting projects and ideas of great value to society since we must not forget that, in addition to those fields that directly affect us as an industry or blue economy, biotechnology is also applied to medicine. This second program reaffirms our commitment and our close relationship with the Foundation Incyde to work to promote employment.”
This program has a very similar structure to the previous one and is made up of several modules that cover all the syllabus necessary for the proper development and growth of a company. In this way, project management, marketing, commercialization and promotion, computer applications and finance, among other topics, will be covered. In addition to the joint training sessions, there will be individualized support and consulting actions, mentoring and monitoring.
Last Monday, the first of the training actions began, the Program for the Creation and Consolidation of Companies in the maritime sector, which will also continue until next December.
