The Free Zone Delegate receives the Vice President of the Commonwealth of the Campo de Gibraltar

Alfonso Pozuelo and David Gil held an institutional meeting yesterday to exchange impressions on the Consortium's projects in the Region

Among the topics discussed, they delved into the development of the future “Bahía de Algeciras” tax precinct, located in the municipality of Los Barrios.

Yesterday morning, the State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Alfonso Pozuelo, received the vice president of the Services area of ​​the Commonwealth of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar, David Gil, at the Consortium's Headquarters.

The meeting was framed in an institutional meeting in which Pozuelo and Gil discussed topics of interest to the Campo-Gibraltar region and reviewed the important work in favor of the business fabric that the Consortium develops in the area, focused on the generation of productive spaces for the implementation of new companies.

In this sense, the delegate of the Consortium and the vice president of the Commonwealth showed special interest in a key project for the economy of the Region: The future “Bahía de Algeciras” tax precinct, located in El Fresno, in the municipality of Los Barrios.

Pozuelo explained the progress made in recent weeks that has relaunched the process to achieve the ministerial order that authorizes the creation of a new tax area of ​​approximately 130,000 m2, a surface that guarantees and covers the space needs of economic operators. Likewise, he explained that the Consortium continues to work in parallel to expedite the entire procedure and open the Public Offer that will market the land, in order to shorten the deadlines to implement this action that he described as “revulsive” for the area.

Both leaders agreed that this facility will form a first-class productive space that will be an important focus of attracting investment for the economy of Campo de Gibraltar.
