Practical Manual for the Foreign Trade Operator”, together with the delegate of the Consortium of the Free Zone of Vigo, Teresa Pedrosa, and the director of the Department of Customs and Special Taxes, María Pilar Jurado.
The day had the welcome and presentation of the Secretary General of the Consorci of the Free Zone of Barcelona, Anton Ferré, and the delegate of the Free Zone of Barcelona and president of the Spanish Association of Concessionaires of Frankish Zones and Deposits, Fernando Cámara.
During his speech, Alfonso Pozuelo valued the great work done by the authors of the book, Alberto García and José Carlos Arobes, since they have developed a practical guide that delves into the figure of the authorized economic operator (OAS), fundamental to strengthen the security in the procedures that govern commercial exchanges between EU member countries and third countries.
Along these lines, the delegate of Free Zone Cádiz remarked that it is an “important aspect for all European free zones, since it approaches clearly and didactically the customs imposition and the necessary procedures for its processing, serving as a reference to make the daily activity of the foreign trade operator” more fluid.
Alfonso Pozueuelo took advantage of his first participation in the SIL as a delegate of Zona Franca to highlight the logistics strength of the province of Cádiz as “a south of opportunities and advantages”, with Free Zone Cádiz as an essential instrument generating economic activity by its privileged and strategic location as a door of entering southern Europe to the western markets and for having infrastructure as powerful as the port of Algeciras, the port of Cádiz Jerez Airport, which draw a logistics triangle capable of capturing part of the commercial flows of America and Asia towards the EU.
