The objective of Zona Franca Cádiz is to go from 330,000 m2 to 1,300,000 m2
The Cádiz Free Trade Zone, which has already invested more than 178.6 million euros in its large expansion project throughout the province, is confident that with the new Government of Spain this process that has already begun can be completed in the next four years.
In fact, the objective of going from 330,000 m2 to 1,300,000 m2 is very advanced as the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has a land offer in the Tax Precinct of more than 650,000 m2 in Cádiz capital and Los Barrios.
The intense work carried out and the sources of financing obtained in this period - Feder Funds, Reindus and own financing - have allowed this great Cádiz project to be launched with the acquisition of the lands of the old Altadis in Cádiz and those of El Fresno in Los Barrios, while continuing to work with the 150,000 m2 of what will be the new Tax Precinct in Algeciras and in the phase of enabling land suitable for La Línea, Jerez and Arches.
In parallel to the extension and expansion project, activity has been intense and in the period 2012-2015, action has been taken in Cádiz capital, El Puerto de Santa María, Chiclana, Rota, Jerez, Ubrique, Arcos, Vejer, Algeciras, Alcalá de los Gazules and Los Barrios, through various actions completed and others underway in La Línea, San Roque, San Fernando, Castellar and Paterna.
Today, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has formed a business and industrial fabric in many towns that provides wealth and employment in the province and has been characterized by the execution of business-industrial facilities such as nest warehouses in Los Barrios and Ubrique; logistics facilities in El Puerto de Santa María, Rota and Algeciras; recovery and strengthening of industrial estates in Los Barrios, Jerez, Alcalá de los Gazules, Barbate and San José del Valle.
It is a fact that not only has action been taken in the supply of land and buildings but that they are currently occupied and at full capacity, as is the case of the logistics facilities in El Puerto de Santa María and Algeciras, the industrial warehouses in Ubrique and Los Barrios (Palmones), Barbate, Rota, the expansion of the company Harinera Vilafranquina in the Cádiz area and even in the land acquired for the expansion of the tax areas, companies such as This is the case of Alestis, Fricking Design in Cádiz and 7 agreements closed for the installation of companies in El Fresno de Los Barrios.
In parallel to this intense investment activity and search for companies that reindustrialize these spaces, Zona Franca Cádiz has carried out in recent years an ambitious project to consolidate Business Centers for entrepreneurs throughout the province that has made it possible to have the largest network of Business Centers in Andalusia, with an offer of more than 70,000 m2 of fully equipped office buildings, with equipment of this type in Cádiz (Europe, almost Gaditano, Poniente Business Center and rehabilitation of the Atlas Building); in Jerez (San Agustín and Las Caballerizas); in Chiclana (Iro); in Arcos (Arcis); in Vejer (Horizon); in Algeciras (Nexus), where new entrepreneurs, businessmen and professionals have perfectly equipped facilities at very affordable prices where they can start their professional careers.
Zona Franca Cádiz trusts that the unlocking of the Government of Spain through the appointments made on Thursday will enable new sources of national and European financing to develop the commitments already made and those planned and pending execution (Tiro Janer Commercial and Business Park in San Fernando), new Business Centers in San Roque, La Línea and Rota, consolidation and redevelopment of industrial estates in Paterna and Prado del Rey, Aquaponia Environmental Complex in Castellar, projects that will consolidate this Institution as the engine of business and industrial development in the province.
