The group, which was received by the State delegate, Jorge Ramos, participates in an international project related to renewable energies
The participants visited the photovoltaic façade of the high-rise parking lot and the photovoltaic covers installed in several warehouses in the Campus.
Representatives of the University of Cádiz (UCA) and different Latin American universities yesterday visited the Free Zone of Cádiz and took a tour of the existing photovoltaic installations in the Interior Campus, within an international project, financed by the European Commission and related to renewable energies.
The group was headed by Rafael Jiménez Castañeda, coordinator of the Renewable Energy Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the UCA, and was made up of other members of the Cádiz university, representing the European universities of the project, and representatives of the Universidad San Luis (Argentina), Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina), Universidad de la República (Uruguay), Universidad Rafael Landívar (Guatemala).
The participants in the project, accompanied by technicians from the Consortium, visited the technical office of the company Igfoton, with whom the UCA has an agreement for the development of research projects and teaching and research activities.
The representatives of the different universities also visited the research projects developed at the CEDIES, on the upper floor of the high-rise parking lot; in addition to the photovoltaic installations of the Free Trade Zone, such as the photovoltaic façade of the high-rise parking and the photovoltaic covers installed in several warehouses of the Site.
The group concluded the visit at the Consortium's Headquarters, where they were received by the State delegate, Jorge Ramos, who welcomed them and offered a detailed explanation of the activity of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone.
