The occupation of the warehouses, carried out in collaboration with the chambers of Commerce and the Incyde Foundation in Ubrique and Palmones, is complete
Zona Franca will continue with this type of actions to support the entrepreneurial community and promote the establishment of companies once the success of the initiatives has been confirmed.
The Ubrique nursery has been operating since March and in Palmones the activity will begin as soon as Endesa makes the electrical connection in the coming days
The construction of the Transformation Center, necessary in Palmones, is completed and the agreement for the transfer by the Zona Franca to Endesa has already been signed.
The Cádiz Free Trade Zone will continue to carry out actions along the lines of the business incubators built in Ubrique and Palmones (Los Barrios), after having verified the high level of acceptance of both projects, carried out in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz and Chamber of Commerce of Campo de Gibraltar, respectively, the Incyde Foundation and the town councils of both municipalities.
And the fact is that both the Ubrique Nursery and the Palmones Nursery put up their full sign a few months ago and, while the one in the mountain town is already at full capacity, the one in the Campo-Gibraltar municipality will begin its activity shortly when the electrical company Endesa makes the connection in the coming days.
In fact, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone signed yesterday the agreement for the transfer to Endesa of the Transformation Center that the Consortium has built and which was necessary for the supply to the nursery and the connection to the network of the 14 warehouses.
The great acceptance of both initiatives by the entrepreneurial sector of the province makes the Cádiz Institution reaffirm its commitment to permanent support for the business community in general and young entrepreneurs in particular, and encourages them to take part in actions of this type that favor the creation of companies and new jobs. And we must not forget that the primary objective of these actions is to encourage the projects to be strengthened and consolidated, each of them being in the nursery for a maximum of three years.
The Ubrique business incubator, inaugurated by the Undersecretary of State for Finance at the end of last year, is located in the so-called Polígono de la Piel of the mountain town and was carried out with funds requested in the Feder Operational Framework 2007-2013. The total investment was 1.4 million euros, including the acquisition of the land from the Cádiz Chamber of Commerce.
In 7 of the 10 warehouses built in Ubrique, projects related to the leather and leather goods sector are located, such as manufacturing of leather goods, cutting of leather and linings, engraving, cutting and making of leather goods, wholesale of finished leather, among others.
Of the remaining three ships, one will be occupied by a furniture and decoration business; another will house functional training activities and services; And in the last one, a sporting event company will be installed.
Meanwhile, the 14 warehouses that make up the Palmones business incubator house companies belonging to various sectors, such as air conditioning, courier services, industrial laundry, distribution of electronic elements, renovations, children's entertainment or maintenance.
The 14 warehouses have involved a total investment, excluding the cost of the land, of 1,850,000 euros, also co-financed by funds requested in the Feder Operational Framework 2007-2013.
This strong response registered in both municipalities confirms the need to have a quality business infrastructure and in advantageous conditions, a line of work that Zona Franca has been carrying out for 5 years and which has led it to configure an important network of 15 business centers and more than 70,000 m2 of facilities that facilitate the establishment of companies and that offer advantages of all kinds to young entrepreneurs.
