The II phase of the work to adapt the Alestis warehouse in the Free Zone is already 54% complete

The current works will put an end to the conditioning of the old warehouse of the Altadis tobacco company for use as a large logistics center

The aeronautical company can now begin its activity after the action carried out in the first phase of work, which concluded at the beginning of this month

The works include, as in the first phase, the adaptation of pavement, roofs, electrical installations and fire protection, among others.

Zona Franca has also carried out the work of adapting the offices of the annex building, improving access and demolishing part of the perimeter fence between the premises and the old Altadis

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has already completed the second phase of the adaptation and modernization work of the 13,500 m industrial warehouse at 54%2, located on the land of the old Altadis already incorporated as a tax precinct and which will soon be occupied by the aeronautical company Alestis, which will install a large logistics center there.

During this second phase, which is scheduled to conclude at the end of September, work on the pavement, roofs, electrical and fire protection installations, as well as the completion of platforms and ramps, is being completed.

At the beginning of this month of August, the Consortium completed the first part of the work that it put out to tender in May with the aim of adapting the old warehouse called PPL (League Preparation Plant) for the storage and logistics management of aeronautical elements, both assembled and elementary parts and assemblies.

These works are carried out in two phases in order to make possible the start of Alestis' activity, so this company already has at its disposal a part of the facilities to settle in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.

In the first phase, the pavement in the middle of the warehouse has been adapted, part of the flat and inclined roofs have been reconditioned and a platform for truck unloading and another for truck loading and access ramps to the warehouse for truck circulation inside it have been developed, overcoming a 2-meter difference in level. The main structure of the ship has also been treated with fire-resistant paint.
