Zona Franca put out to tender the work on May 12 with a budget of 132,085.77 euros (VAT not included) and construction companies, mostly from Cádiz, have presented themselves.
The facilities will house the headquarters of a new company that will be established on these lands, which are already part of the tax area.
A total of seven companies, all of them from Andalusia and a large part from Cádiz, have entered the competition for the partial adaptation works on the ground floor of the office building of the league preparation plant (PPL) in the old facilities of the Altadis tobacco industrial center in Cádiz, which the Cádiz Free Trade Zone put out to tender on May 12 and whose deadline ended last Tuesday.
The facilities of the old tobacco factory are already part of the Cadiz Tax Precinct after authorization by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations last March, which makes it possible for the Free Zone to go from having 330,000 m2 to 486,881 m2 of Tax Precinct with the corresponding customs and tax advantages in the Cadiz capital.
The adaptation work will modernize and adapt spaces that are more than 25 years old to new uses and needs. The offices, which are obsolete and deteriorated after years of non-use and the passage of time, have an area of 300 m2 and are located on the ground floor of the building attached to the PPL.
The company that is finally awarded will carry out the necessary work to put them in conditions of use and habitability, in line with the aesthetics and quality of other buildings in the Free Zone, with a budget of 132,085.77 euros (VAT not included) and an approximate execution period of two months.
This facility will house the offices of a logistics center that is expected to be installed in the Cádiz Free Zone in August and will occupy an area of approximately 15,000 m.2.
