Google begins its in-person workshops “Activate your business” in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz

A total of 100 people attended this Thursday in the Atlas building of the Interior Campus a digital marketing course so that small and medium-sized companies can make the most of their presence on the Internet, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz

Cádiz is the first of the events scheduled by the search engine to publicize the latest developments in digital marketing throughout Spain, web creation and positioning, analytics, online sales and sector trends.

With places sold out several days before its celebration, the face-to-face workshops Activate your business, a new project promoted by Google "with the aim of optimizing the online presence and participation of SMEs through training in digital skills" and in which the Incyde Foundation, BBVA and CEPYME participate as partners, premiered yesterday Thursday in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone.

Activate your Business offers small and medium-sized businesses free online and in-person training in digital marketing along with examples of real experiences and practical cases. The platform designed by Google also provides a practical learning plan, adjusted to the specific needs of each SME after carrying out a prior diagnosis.

The Cádiz Chamber of Commerce has been in charge of organizing, with the collaboration of Zona Franca, this training meeting in the capital of Cadiz, which was attended by 100 participants from very diverse professional sectors, interested in getting the most out of their presence on the Internet. For Manuel Álvarez, director of the International, Tourism and Training Area of the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz, "the development of a good digital marketing strategy is essential for our companies to compete in a globalized environment and know how to take advantage of different business opportunities without having to make a large investment," says the head of the Chamber for whom Google, being the most important search engine in the world, "seems to us the best possible partner to develop this type of training actions."

During the workshop, which was held in the Atlas building of the Interior Campus, attendees showed special interest in the practical cases as well as in technical issues that the speaker, Natalia Sampériz, presented during the 5 hours that the training lasted.

New experience aimed at SMEs

Activate your business is the latest proposal that Google launches in the field of digital skills training. Along these lines, the search engine launched Actívate two years ago, an initiative to train unemployed young people in digital skills and entrepreneurship, surpassing as of March 31 of this year, the 425,000 registrations in the different face-to-face and online courses that it offers for free.

On this occasion, Google directs its efforts to train small and medium-sized companies through online and in-person modality. Cádiz is the first of the many events scheduled by the search engine to publicize the latest developments in digital marketing, web creation and positioning, analytics, online sales and trends in the sector.
