The service station, which includes a parking lot for heavy vehicles and will be operated by the company Salmysur Promcon SL, was included in the industrial space acquired by Zona Franca in October

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has awarded the company Salmysur Promcon the lease of the service station located on the land acquired last October from Parques Logísticos del Sur in Sector 1 of El Fresno Sur, in Los Barrios, and which also includes a parking lot for heavy vehicles located in the area.
The Free Trade Zone launched the Public Offer for these services at the end of February, after the Executive Committee authorized it, since this type of activity does not correspond to the powers of the Consortium and both facilities have been marketed as the same unit.
The gas station occupies an area of 3,359 m2 and serves that area not only with fuel supply but also has a small store, a rest area for truckers and an automatic vehicle and truck wash.
The truck parking has an area of 8,910.98 m2 and is configured in a closed area with exterior surveillance, access control, automatic license plate reading, toilets, showers and a multimedia service center with information on ship departures, loading times, etc., all managed from the service station itself.
This industrial space also includes the service station and parking for heavy vehicles, logistics warehouses, warehouses for dealerships and fields for truck fleets, which will be integrated into the Fiscal Precinct.
The surface area where these facilities are located has 37,000 m2, which was added at the time of its acquisition to the more than 100,000 m2 that it already purchased last year from the Public Agency of Ports of Andalusia, with which Zona Franca has in El Fresno 140,000 m2 of industrial space for the implementation of companies with the customs and fiscal advantages of a free zone.
El Fresno acquires great importance in the project to enlarge and expand the Free Trade Zone to other municipalities in the province since it will be a first-rate productive space given its strategic location, since the tax area will be located next to the Northern access to the Port of Algeciras and at the foot of the road communication with Seville and Madrid and the Mediterranean corridor, which makes it the most important hinterland of the Port of Algeciras.
