Today's Official State Gazette, Tuesday, March 22, publishes the order by which the fiscal precinct in the capital of Cadiz will have an area of 486,881 m2

The Free Trade Zone delegate describes it as an “important day for Cádiz” after a complex process of paperwork

The land occupied by Altadis and those from the concession after the agreement with the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz are incorporated into the Fiscal Precinct.

The Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations has authorized, with the publication of the Order in the Official State Gazette today, Tuesday, March 22, the expansion of the Tax Precinct of the Free Zone in the city of Cádiz, which will go from the 330,000 m2 it originally had to have 486,881 m2 of surface with all the customs and fiscal advantages of the Free Zone.

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, has expressed his satisfaction with the news and has described the day as "very important for Cádiz", since the official authorization of the expansion will be a good incentive that will encourage the implementation of companies in these lands that are already part of the Cádiz Fiscal Precinct and that turns the Cádiz capital into the nerve center and embryo of the entire great project undertaken by the Free Zone.

Order HAP/370/2016 signed on March 11 by the Minister of Finance, Cristóbal Montoro, authorizes the inclusion in the Tax Precinct of the capital of the land acquired from the former tobacco company Altadis in June 2015, which is 106,355 m2, and the 11,819.45 m2 coming from the concession of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz after the signing of the agreement with the Free Zone on August 25.

To the land acquired from the former tobacco company, we must also add those that the Free Trade Zone itself has in that area and that were leased to Altadis, with a total of 38,707 m2, so the total area to be incorporated into the capital's Tax Precinct is 156,881 m2.

With all this, the Fiscal Precinct of the Free Zone in the capital of Cadiz will have more than 486,881 m2, becoming an important industrial focus with customs and tax advantages that will be an added attraction for the installation of companies.

The Order published today is the result of an intense and complex processing process, based on the decision to expand and expand the Free Trade Zone, starting with the Cádiz Campus, including the approval by the Plenary of the Consortium of the project to enlarge and expand the Free Zone of Cádiz.

Since this important project began, the State delegate, Jorge Ramos, has held different meetings with officials from the Ministry of Finance and the General Directorate of Customs and Special Taxes, in addition to the official request, sent in June 2015 through a formal document sent to the General Directorate of Customs.

To the complexity of the procedures we must add that the Free Trade Zone has had to make some small modifications, such as the type of enclosure, operational access to the Site, cameras and location coordinates of the new land.

The expansion of the Tax Precinct of the Free Zone in the capital will be an important milestone in the entire expansion and expansion project, since the city as the embryo of the Free Zone is the head and epicenter of this ambitious project of expansion and expansion to the entire province.

Today's important news is the prelude to expansion to municipalities such as Los Barrios, where the negotiations are also very advanced and where the Consortium has 140,000 m2 after the acquisition of the El Fresno land from the Public Agency of Ports of Andalusia last autumn.
