Free Zone ratifies its commitment to the future of port activity in the Bay of Cádiz

The State delegate in the Consortium, Jorge Ramos, signed a document yesterday together with representatives of other administrations, economic and social agents in favor of the development of the Port and in support of the new container terminal

The document includes the commitment to integrate the Port into new logistics and industrial projects, an area in which Zona Franca leads the activity in the province with the expansion project and extension to new fiscal precincts.

The main objectives of supporting port activity in the Bay are to boost container traffic, reinforce the commitment to cruise ships and create a productive space of more than 250,000 m2 in the historic center of the city.

The Special Delegate of the State in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, signed a document yesterday morning in favor of the future of port activity together with representatives of other administrations, social and economic agents of the Bay by which they ratify their commitment to the development of the Cádiz port.

In an event convened by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz (APBA) and held at the new container terminal, in addition to Ramos, the highest representatives of the University of Cádiz, Confederation of Businessmen of Cádiz, Chamber of Commerce, College of Customs Agents, Gades-Port, Apemar, Ateia, moorers, tugboats, among others, in addition to the heads of the list for the elections, signed the document. generals for the province of Cádiz and the mayors of Puerto Real and Puerto de Santa María and the deputy mayor of the Cádiz City Council.

Participation in this event and the support of Zona Franca for the future of the Port of Cádiz are based on the line of collaboration and institutional loyalty that the Consortium carries out in all its actions in the Bay and throughout the province in favor of economic growth and the generation of employment and wealth.

In fact, one of the commitments included in the document is the integration of the Port in new logistics and industrial projects, along with others among the public that serve as an engine of development, an area in which Zona Franca is the leader in the province with the project of expansion and expansion to new fiscal precincts, creating productive spaces that attract investments and increase the competitiveness of the business fabric.

Support for the future of port activity is included in the document with a triple objective: Promote container traffic; reinforce the Port Authority's commitment to cruises; and the creation of a productive space of more than 250,000 m2 in the historic center of the city.
