The group began their visit in the Assembly Hall of the Heracles Building, where they attended an explanatory and detailed talk about the work of the Consortium – whose objective is the socioeconomic development of its area of influence – by the Commercial Director of the Free Zone, Javier Gutiérrez, and the Foreign Trade technician, Francisco Piñero, after which a short video was shown with the history and activity of the Free Zone in its more than 85 years of existence.
After a talk in which the students interacted by organizing an interesting discussion, the students visited the facilities of the Cayco company, dedicated to logistics and foreign trade and one of the oldest in the Free Trade Zone. There they received explanations from their managers about the activity and the usual work.
Subsequently, the group visited the Business Center of the Europa building, where they received information about the facilities and the possibility of locating a new business under advantageous conditions.
The students also visited the facilities of Documentary Services, another of the Consortium's companies, and took a tour of the document custody and archiving warehouse.
Finally, the group visited the Headquarters where they were received by the Chief of Staff of the Special Delegate of the State, Tania Barcelona, representing Jorge Ramos, who could not be present due to scheduling problems, thanking the group for their visit and their interest in learning about the Institution, since it is the second year that the center requests that its International Commerce students get to know the Cádiz tax area.
