In its last meeting held this Monday, the Executive Committee of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has authorized the procedures for the acquisition of 37,000 m2 more in Sector 1 of El Fresno Sur to integrate into the Tax Precinct that the Consortium has underway in that area of Los Barrios.
With this surface added to the more than 100,000 m2 that it already acquired last year from the Public Agency of Ports of Andalusia, the Free Zone will have 140,000 m2 of industrial space in El Fresno for the implementation of companies with the customs and fiscal advantages of a free zone.
This industrial space, which represents an investment of 6.4 million euros, also includes facilities such as a service station, heavy vehicle parking, logistics warehouses, warehouses for dealerships and fields for truck fleets, which will be integrated into the Tax Precinct after the execution of the works necessary for the integration.
The State delegate in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the managing director of the Public Agency of Ports of Andalusia, Miguel Angel Paneque, signed last year the agreement that allowed the acquisition by the Free Zone of the land that the Free Zone already had in El Fresno.
The expansion of the Fiscal Precinct of the Cádiz Free Zone in Los Barrios is an important and very advanced step in the expansion and expansion project. El Fresno will be a productive space of great importance given its strategic location, since the tax area will be located next to the northern access to the Port of Algeciras and at the foot of the road communication with Seville and Madrid and the Mediterranean corridor, which makes it the most important hinterland of the Port of Algeciras.
