The State delegate in the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, visited on Friday the facilities of the Free Zone in the Industrial Estate El Olivar de Barbate and specifically the warehouse in which the El Ronqueo company, dedicated to the artisanal manufacture of seafood products, is installed.
Jorge Ramos, who toured the 285 m2 facilities, accompanied by company managers, was able to see the activity carried out in the company, created in 2002 and dedicated to the manufacture, sale, distribution, labeling and storage of canned, semi-preserved, salted, smoked, etc. products, and which already exports to European countries and Japan.
The El Olivar Industrial Estate has a total area of 261,463 m2, in which there are warehouses of different sizes that house companies related to the fishing sector. The industrial estate arose from a collaboration agreement between the Free Trade Zone, the town council and the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for job creation after the lack of a fishing agreement with Morocco.
