Pilar Platero knows first-hand the facilities of the old tobacco factory that the Consortium acquired in the summer for the expansion of the Tax Precinct by 150,000 m2
The delegate, Jorge Ramos, accompanied the undersecretary during the tour and informed her that they are waiting for the provisional approval of the General Directorate of Customs to include the land as a tax area and to be able to make the corresponding Public Offer
Subsequently, Pilar Platero supervised the progress of the works on the new Harinera Vilafranquina storage silo warehouse in the Interior Site, in which the Free Trade Zone collaborates.
The Undersecretary of Finance and Public Administrations, Pilar Platero, visited last week the land that the Free Zone acquired from Altadis in the month of June and that will be integrated into the Cádiz Tax Precinct, expanding its surface by 150,000 m2, so that the Cádiz Free Zone will have almost 500,000 m2 in the capital.
The State delegate, Jorge Ramos, accompanied the undersecretary and explained to her that they are waiting for the General Directorate of Customs to grant provisional approval as a tax precinct for the land that belonged to the former tobacco company.
Once this qualification is obtained, the Free Trade Zone will be able to carry out the integration and enclosure works, while at the same time putting out to Public Offer the spaces so that companies can opt to install themselves there, which is very necessary as the current Tax Precinct is 99% full.
Pilar Platero was able to see the enormous activity of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and the important projects in development. In this way, he also visited the works of the new silo warehouse for storage, mixing and bulk loading of flour that Zona Franca is developing in collaboration with Harinera Vilafranquina in the Interior Campus and which is more than 50% complete since it began at the end of last March.
This action involves the expansion of the current facilities of the agri-food company, as the new warehouse is connected to the main plant, forming a functional unit and will allow the company to increase the storage capacity of Vilafranquina by 7,933 m3, with the consequent increase in economic activity throughout its area of influence.
