The 14 young people participating in the first edition of the Innovation Startup Cádiz Camp visited the facilities of the Free Trade Zone in Cádiz yesterday morning, an entity that organizes the campus together with the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz and the Incyde Foundation.
The State delegate in the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, accompanied by the president of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJE), Jesús Belgrano, received the young members of the campus, who arrived accompanied by their mentor, Humberto Ramil, in the plenary hall of the Consortium's Headquarters.
The person in charge of the Free Zone welcomed them and explained the functioning of the Governing Bodies, while encouraging them to continue along the path of entrepreneurship and creativity, inviting them to seek the support of the Free Zone. Jorge Ramos thanked the students for their interest in the Consortium and encouraged them to delve deeper into everything related to business activity through the day-to-day life of the Free Zone in future visits.
The day began in the auditorium of the Heracles Building, where the Foreign Trade and Customs technician, Francisco Piñero, explained to the students the way in which the Free Trade Zone operates and activities. It was a talk-discussion about the present and the projects in which the Cádiz Institution is immersed, as well as an approach to logistics and foreign trade.
After visiting the Heracles building, the group visited the Free Zone Business Center located in the new Europa Building, where they received explanations about facilities and prices of services with great interest.
After a tour of the outside of the Fiscal Precinct, the students, accompanied by technicians from the Consortium, accessed the facilities of the Documentary Services of Andalusia (SDA), where they were shown the work and details of this document archiving, digitization and custody service, which has offices in Cádiz, Seville and Algeciras.
Zona Franca has been developing a program of guided tours for more than two years, in which it introduces the Institution to Cadiz society (young students, university students, liberal professionals, etc.), making them participate in the activity and projects that are being carried out. You can request a visit through the website www.zonafrancacadiz.com.
In this specific case, the members of the Startup Cádiz Camp were especially interested in learning about the activity carried out by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, organizer of the campus together with the Cádiz Chamber of Commerce and the Incyde Foundation.
