Free zone reports on the new law for self-employed workers approved by the Government

Professionals installed in the Free Zone could benefit from this law, which extends the flat rate of 50 euros

The Consortium collaborates in the dissemination of the new regulations that modify and update the law on self-employment

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone is collaborating in giving maximum dissemination to the new Government law, published in the Official State Gazette number 127 of September 10, 2015, which modifies and updates the regulations on self-employment and adopts measures to promote self-employment and the Social Economy.

Professionals, entrepreneurs and businessmen in general installed in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz could benefit from this new regulation that updates and modifies the law on self-employment.

Among other points, the different incentives in force that until now were dispersed in various regulations will be collected in a single text that will be included in title V of Law 20/2007, of July 11, on the Statute of Self-Employed Work; and in Law 5/2011, of March 29, on Social Economy. Likewise, the Law also extends some existing incentives to other groups and implements new measures to promote self-employment, whether individual or collective, and to support self-employment and the Social Economy.

In relation to the flat rate for self-employed workers, the new law sets the amount of the fee for common contingencies at exactly 50 euros for six months; expands the incentive to self-employed people who start a self-employed activity and subsequently hire employed workers, and extends the assumptions of the flat rate especially protected to victims of terrorism and gender violence.

Furthermore, both in the case of people with disabilities and victims of terrorism or gender violence, the contribution reduction is extended to up to 12 months.
