A Committee of experts from the three entities has selected this week the 15 young people who will participate in this pioneering business creation campus in Andalusia that will be held in El Puerto de Santa María from September 14
Of those chosen, 70% live in the province of Cádiz while the rest of the participants come from other Spanish provinces and even foreign countries.
The program, which aims to promote the creation of companies with high innovative potential, consists of the 15 participants devising, designing and establishing Startups within a period of 7 weeks
A total of 48 young people from all over Spain and abroad have registered for the Innovation Startup Cádiz Camp, 15 people were finally selected by a committee made up of experts from the three organizing entities, Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz, Zona Franca and Fundación Incyde.
Engineers of various specialties, graduates in Economics and Business or students of Fine Arts, Chemistry or Computer Science, form the profile of those selected to participate in this pioneering campus in Andalusia, which will take place from September 14 to October 31 in El Puerto de Santa María.
After a selection process in which creative potential, entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of new technologies have been valued, finally 70% of those selected live in the province of Cádiz while the remaining 30% are made up of young people from the rest of Spain and even other countries such as Mexico or Italy. For example, the case of a Spaniard who will travel expressly from Australia, where he resides, to participate in this pioneering pilot experience in Andalusia stands out.
Program Features
This program, which has the support of the European Social Fund, encourages the creation of companies with high innovative potential. For them, the 15 young people will be accompanied by mentors to help them go, design and build startups with high innovative content within a period of two months.
During the first week, presentations of the participants are made and creativity workshops and coaching activities will be given. Already in the second week, the participants will begin to think about possible business ideas and at the end the participants will be divided into 3 groups of 5 people each.
In the third week each group will work on the development of their idea, at the same time workshops will be held. During the fourth week, finance and search for financing and partner workshops will be held. The fifth week will consist of a pre-evaluation phase in which the mentors will help the entrepreneurs detect errors, resolve doubts and improve proposals. In the sixth week we will work on the business plan of each group. Finally, in the seventh week, a final project status report will be prepared and the company and the prototype, if applicable, will be launched.
