The deadline to register for this initiative, pioneer in Andalusia and second in Spain, ends on July 17
The program aims to study and develop a novel methodology for the creation of innovative companies
The Consortium and the Cádiz Chamber have also delivered the diplomas today to the participants in the joint internationalization program
The Special Delegate of the State in the Consortium of the Free Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz, Ángel Juan Pascual, reported this morning in a meeting with the media held in the Europa Building of the Free Zone about the details of the pilot project called Innovation Startup Cádiz Camp, which is financed by the European Social Fund.
This project, aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old, will be developed in the facilities that the Cádiz Chamber of Commerce has in the Las Salinas Industrial Estate in El Puerto de Santa María and those in the Free Trade Zone in the same place.
Jorge Ramos welcomed this innovative initiative that gives the opportunity to create innovative companies and highlighted that companies are the ones that create jobs. The Free Zone delegate offered all his support to the young entrepreneurs and added that the collaboration between the Free Zone and the Chamber should be expanded even further.
Those interested in participating in this initiative, a pioneer in Andalusia and the second to be carried out in all of Spain after Vigo, can register until July 17 on the website of the Free Trade Zone www.zonafrancacadiz.com, on that of the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz www.camaracadiz.com or on that of the Incyde Foundation www.incyde.org, in charge of organizing the campus, for which 15 young people will be selected who will have their registration expenses covered. transportation and maintenance during the seven weeks of the program.
The program, which aims to promote the creation of companies with high innovative potential, consists of those selected, accompanied by their corresponding mentors, ideating, designing and establishing Startups with high innovative content within a period of two months.
The main objectives of the campus will be to support young people who have a creative and entrepreneurial spirit; promote innovative initiatives as elements of progress; test new methodologies for entrepreneurship; and highlight the important role of training in the creation of new companies.
The campus calendar foresees that, once the application admission period closes on July 17, the list with those selected will be published on the 25th of the same month. The Innovation Startup Cadiz Camp will begin on September 14 and end on October 31.
In the selection process, creative potential, entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of New Technologies will be valued. During the first week, presentations of the participants are made and creativity workshops and coaching activities will be given. Already in the second week, the participants will begin to think about possible business ideas and at the end the participants will be divided into 3 groups of 5 people each.
In the third week each group will work on the development of their idea, at the same time workshops will be held. During the fourth week, finance and search for financing and partner workshops will be held. The fifth week will consist of a pre-evaluation phase in which the mentors will help the entrepreneurs detect errors, resolve doubts and improve proposals. In the sixth week we will work on the business plan of each group. Finally, in the seventh week, a final project status report will be prepared and the company and the prototype, if applicable, will be launched.
Delivery of diplomas
The collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce, the Incyde Foundation and the Free Trade Zone in promoting business creation through training is close and today the delivery of diplomas to the students of the Business Internationalization Program was also held, which began in March of this year and ended in May.
The event was chaired by the State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, by the general director of the Incyde Foundation, Javier Collado, and by the director of International Projects of the Forum of Renowned Spanish Brands, Pedro Vargas, who presented the diplomas to the 17 students of the 21 who participated in the program.
Previously, the heads of two of the companies participating in the program, ACOS Ingeniería de Gestión and Plomada Ecológica Rockobom, made a presentation of their projects and thanked the Free Trade Zone and the Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity they have been given.
The purpose of the course, which took place in El Puerto de Santa María, was to promote the export culture and the internationalization of the business fabric of the province of Cádiz.
The initiative, valued at 45,000 euros, has been financed by the Cádiz Chamber of Commerce, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium and the Incyde Foundation through the European Social Fund.
During the 3 months of training, the students completed a total of 320 hours, divided into face-to-face classes and individual tutorials during which they covered subjects such as international transportation, negotiation, marketing and promotion, management tools, finances and taxation, among others.
