Four large companies confirm their installation in the Tax Precinct of the Free Zone in El Fresno (Los Barrios)

The projects presented have been evaluated taking into account criteria of job creation and investment volume, among others.

The four selected companies belong to the food sector, one to the fishing sector and the other to the logistics sector.

At the moment, there are four large companies that have confirmed that they will settle in the Fiscal Precinct of the Free Zone in El Fresno (Los Barrios), after the offers presented to the Public Call for the Study of Needs for the Implementation of Industrial Projects and Allocation of Plots have been evaluated. The Free Trade Zone gave the call due publicity and attendance by publishing the call announcement in March in the Official State Gazette and on the Consortium's Website.
These four companies, with a total area of 63,696 m2 and with an investment of more than 29 million euros, in addition to those that will be incorporated in the new Public Offer in the coming days, will create 1,000 new jobs, with job creation being one of the priority criteria used by the Consortium when evaluating the offers. It has also been assessed that they are economically advantageous for the Free Zone, as well as the investment volume and execution deadlines.
The new industries belong, one to the logistics sector, two to the food sector and the fourth to the fishing sector and will occupy an area of 45,700 m2, 8,000 m2, 2,496 m2 and 6,600 m2 respectively.
The Cádiz Consortium had already maintained contacts with companies interested in locating on Free Trade Zone land to be able to benefit from the corresponding customs and tax advantages, which will be able to opt not only for the land that the Consortium has acquired for 2,524,326.93 euros from the Andalusian Public Ports Agency (APPA) but could also study the possibility of opting for other annexed spaces that may be of their preference.
Zona Franca continues its work of searching for investments throughout the province and particularly in the Campo de Gibraltar region and continues to maintain contacts. In fact, there are already two more companies that are interested in settling in Free Zone spaces in a later phase.
