The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Jerez de la Frontera, María José García Pelayo, made an institutional visit this morning to the new Las Caballerizas Building, next to the Convent of San Agustín, in the process of rehabilitation, and which was inaugurated on March 28.
The heads of both institutions were accompanied on their visit, in addition to technicians from the Free Trade Zone and the Jerez City Council, by representatives of the business, associative and social economic fabric of Jerez.
The Las Caballerizas Building houses part of the offices of the future business complex, which will be completely completed in summer, when the rehabilitation works on the main cloister, which are already well advanced, are expected to be completed.
The project has a global investment of more than six million euros and was carried out after the agreement signed in 2012 between the City Council and the Zona Franca for the rehabilitation of the old convent of San Agustín, which was in a ruinous state.
