Ramos thanked the Zona Franca management team and the mayor for their drive and dedication to carry out this initiative, and highlighted that with the start of the works, months of intense work culminate in which all the necessary procedures have been expedited for this initiative to see the light in the shortest period of time possible. Thus, the Free Trade Zone delegate made an exhaustive review of the milestones that have been carried out and recalled that the germ of this project dates back to August 2012, when an agreement of intentions was signed with the City Council; In December 2012, Zona Franca delivered the preliminary project to the City Council; In February 2013, the project was put out to tender, which was awarded to Manuel Quijano in July of that same year; In October 2013, the corresponding building permit was requested from the City Council and the following month the executive agreement was ratified.
Among the steps already taken in 2014, the delegate pointed out that in August the Zona Franca put out to tender the works and in September the deadline for submitting offers closed; In November, it awarded the Archaeological Control Intervention to the company GEHA-ARQUEOLOGY for the earthworks that are going to be carried out on the plot where the Business Center is going to be built; and finally on November 25, the works were awarded to ECISA for 1,670,280 euros (VAT not included), a figure 26.59% lower than the base tender budget of 2,227,490.47 euros (VAT not included).
During his speech, Ramos stressed that the building "is designed for the establishment of entrepreneurs and liberal professionals in a professional environment and with services that will increase the competitiveness of their businesses, by having very advantageous economic conditions so that not a single business vocation can be frustrated."
Before finishing, the delegate, who announced that in October 2015 the building will be a reality, announced that in the rear area of the building, which does not occupy the entire plot, two covered paddle tennis courts and a bio-healthy park, equipped with a maintenance gymnastics circuit, will be carried out simultaneously with the work on the business center, which will give added value not only to the building, but also to the town, emblem of the province of Cádiz and tourist reference for the rest of Spain.
It should be noted that this important equipment for the municipality and the region of La Janda is co-financed by Funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
