A total of 25 companies participated in the open public tender on August 20 within the framework of an action co-financed by Funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
In order to speed up the start of the work, the Consortium awarded this Monday the Archaeological Control on the plot where the equipment will be located to the company GEHA-ARQUEOLOGÍA. S.C.P.
The building will house a modern business center with 15 offices, multipurpose classrooms, a coworking room, a cafeteria and commercial premises.
El Comité Ejecutivo de Zona Franca de Cádiz adjudicó en la mañana de ayer martes a ECISA las obras de ejecución correspondientes al proyecto denominado “Edificio Administrativo en parcela de equipamientos en la U.E.-2 del S.A.U.11 ´BUENAVISTA I´, en Vejer de la Frontera. Con la autorización del órgano ejecutivo del Consorcio, está previsto el inicio de los trabajos para el próximo mes de diciembre.
The award amount for the works amounts to 1,670,280 euros (VAT not included), which is 26.59% lower than the base tender budget of 2,227,490.47 euros (VAT not included). This important equipment for the municipality and the region of La Janda is co-financed by Funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013. The execution period of the works is 11 months.
With this award, the Consortium completes a very important phase for which it has been working for months in order to provide maximum agility to all the necessary procedures so that this initiative sees the light in the shortest period of time possible. In fact, last Monday the Archaeological Control Intervention was awarded to the company GEHA-ARQUEOLOGY for the earthworks that are going to be carried out on the plot where the Business Center is going to be built. The Archaeological Control has an estimated execution period of one month and a base bidding budget of 4,000 euros (VAT not included).
Asimismo, cabe recordar que Zona Franca adjudicó en 2013 al arquitecto Manuel Quijano Vallejo el proyecto de ejecución por un importe de 39.700 euros (IVA no incluido).
The building, in figures
El edificio de Vejer, que se asentará sobre una parcela municipal de aproximadamente 3.550 m2, contará con una superficie construida de 2.087,57 m2, que se distribuirán en un edificio con una composición fragmentada, de volúmenes puros y blancos, acordes con su ubicación y la arquitectura de su entorno.
In one of the areas of the building, the Free Trade Zone Business Center will be located on a total of 1,557 m2 and will have 15 offices, classrooms for different uses and a coworking room, in addition to having 300 m2 for commercial premises. On the other hand, the other area of the building, about 529 m2, will be for the Hospitality School and municipal services, a fact that makes it possible for the project to have a guaranteed return on its investment.
This building joins, therefore, the largest offer of centers for business initiatives in the province of Cádiz and highlights the work of the Free Zone for the growth and strengthening of the business fabric of its surroundings, which consequently brings wealth and employment for the different municipalities of Cádiz.
Thus, this building will join those that the Cádiz Consortium already has in several municipalities in the province. Specifically in the city of Algeciras, there is the Almanzor Business Center, in the La Menacha industrial estate, with more than 6,200 m2 of premises and offices and the future Business Center located next to the Chamber of Commerce, in Paseo de la Cornisa, with 8,445.59 m2. In Cádiz it has the Europa building, with more than 6,400 m2 of offices, along with more than 3,460 m2 of industrial land spread over 17 warehouses; Melkart, with an area of 5,452 m2; Heracles, with a total constructed area of 3,189 m2; Atlas, with an area of 7,141m²; Glorieta, with an area of 5,084 m2; and Carranza, a facility of premises and offices of more than 13,200 m2; The Las Salinas Business Center is located in Puerto de Santa María, which has an area of 2,780 m2; In Jerez, Zona Franca is rehabilitating the old San Agustín convent as a Business Center and its completion is scheduled for 2015. It will have a total area of approximately 4,500 m2; In Arcos de la Frontera, the works for a multipurpose building that will make up a large administrative-commercial facility of 4,947 m were put out to tender days ago.²; and in Chiclana, 1,800 m2 of a shopping center were acquired last week to adapt it as a business center.
