Zona Franca and Radio Cádiz organize the “Being Entrepreneurs” Conference in the Europa Building of the Interior Campus

The conference, made up of six sessions spread over two days that plan to bring together 180 businessmen, aims to satisfy the communication needs of the Cádiz business community to increase its competitiveness

Each session features a presentation by Jean Marc Colanesi, ESIC professor and expert in Marketing, Brand Management and Communication.

Yesterday morning, the Cadiz Free Trade Zone in collaboration with Cadena Ser was the scene of a new business meeting: “Ser Empresarios”, a program focused on satisfying the communication needs of businessmen.
The conferences, which take place on the second floor of the Europe Building of the Free Zone, in six 45-minute sessions, once again reflect the Consortium's commitment to promoting economic activity and the creation of wealth and employment by supporting the business community and, specifically, small and medium-sized companies.
This was emphasized by the Special Delegate of the State, Jorge Ramos, who opened the conference showing himself convinced that businessmen and, specifically, entrepreneurs, are the true architects of economic growth, since without businessmen companies are not created, which are the real drivers of the economy and job creators.
The head of the Cádiz Consortium expressed his confidence that this type of meeting favors the increase in the competitiveness of SMEs, an important fact to overcome the challenge of the structural deficit that the province has, which, even in good economic times, has an unemployment rate above the average of the rest of the country.
To counteract this reality, Ramos highlighted the outstanding role of the Free Zone Consortium to favor and provide SMEs and entrepreneurs with equipment, services and financing tools that enhance their implementation and growth. And to achieve this purpose, Zona Franca is immersed in a major project that will place it in the next 3-5 years as the first economic focus of the province: Its expansion and extension to new tax precincts in the province, going from the 324,000 m2 that it currently has in Cádiz, -where it will also expand its facilities-, to 1,300,000 m2 located in municipalities such as Los Barrios, Algeciras, La Línea or Sherry.
With this extension and expansion of the Free Trade Zone, it proposes to enhance, not only the distribution of goods, but also and above all, to convert the province into a production center, through the installation of companies in tax areas in which, by being able to benefit from customs and tax advantages, they save production costs and, therefore, increase competitiveness.
After the opening of Ramos, the director of Radio Cádiz, Lourdes Acosta, presented the “Ser Empresarios” Program, which has been carried out for years throughout Spain and whose objective is the development of SMEs in our country, to provide them with new business opportunities, through an effective marketing plan, networking sessions (expansion of contact networks), training and business advice. Next, Jean Marc Colanesi, ESIC professor and expert in Marketing, Brand Management and Communication, gave a presentation on business branding and Communication techniques focused on small businesses, in which he discussed the keys to making a business work; most common errors in company communication; the importance of the brand; the law of focus; or the briefing.
At the end of each work session, entrepreneurs have the possibility of opting for Cadena Ser's commercial offer under advantageous conditions. In the same way, the services and facilities of the Free Zone are offered through the Commercial Department.
