Ramos and Núñez highlighted the quality of the facilities of the new Multifunctional Building that will be marketed at unbeatable prices
The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Arcos de la Frontera, José Luis Núñez, held a press conference this morning at the Arcense Mayor's Office, in which they reported on the details of the new Multifunctional Building that the Free Trade Zone is going to build in the town and whose works have been put out to tender this Tuesday.
Ramos and Núñez took the opportunity to make public their intention to work together so that the Fiscal Precinct of the Free Trade Zone is also expanded to Arcos, a municipality with a privileged location as the gateway and capital of the Cadiz mountain range. They explained that they plan to soon begin the process of searching for land and that it is planned as a techno-food space intended for marketing and a transportation hub.
Both the Free Trade Zone delegate and the Arcense mayor agreed to highlight the loyalty and institutional collaboration that has made the Multifunctional Building project possible and that will serve to work together in the future as well, all of which will benefit the citizens and the promotion of economic activity.
Both showed their satisfaction for having overcome the administrative procedures and having taken the important step of bidding for the work, whose deadline for submitting offers will end on December 18 and which could be underway at the beginning of 2015.
Jorge Ramos explained in detail, illustrating with plans of each floor, the composition of the new building and encouraged businessmen to enjoy highly qualified facilities at unbeatable prices.
The Multifunctional Building will provide quality facilities to the municipality, since as Jorge Ramos explained, “it will have all the advantages that Zona Franca makes available to businessmen and liberal professionals to facilitate the implementation of their businesses and projects, such as high technology, common secretarial services, rental of classrooms and furniture, among others, offering new spaces for entrepreneurs in a professional environment and with services that will increase the competitiveness of their businesses.”
These works, financed by funds requested in the Framework of the ERDF Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013, have a base tender budget of 2,700,163 euros (VAT not included) and have an execution period of one year, considering the reduction of this time to ten months.
The action of Zona Franca in Arcos contemplates the construction in two phases of a large administrative-commercial facility that will be located on a 2,908 m plot² where a modern building equipped with the latest technologies will be built and will house a new Free Trade Zone Business Center.
The first phase will be approximately 3,280 m² built and in which 1,181 m² will be parking, 987 m² of commercial premises on the ground floor and 1,112 m² of offices.
In a second phase, construction will reach 4,947 m² approximately and its execution will begin once the first one is marketed.
It is worth remembering that Jorge Ramos and José Luis Núñez ratified at the end of 2012 the agreement through which the Consortium recovered this project, an old commitment with Arcos, which was acquired by the previous delegate during the last legislature, in 2009, and which was never carried out.
