The Special Delegate of the State in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, attended the event celebrating the CLXX Anniversary of the Foundation of the Civil Guard that took place in the courtyard of the Civil Guard Command of Cádiz.
The celebration was chaired by the subdelegate of the Government, Javier de Torre, and the acting lieutenant colonel of the Cádiz Civil Guard Command, Jesús Narciso Núñez Calvo.
The attendance of Jorge Ramos at the commemoration event reaffirms the close relationship that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has maintained for years with the Civil Guard, which has 15 troops distributed throughout the Tax Precinct, in charge of general surveillance and entry and exit controls, as well as its own post in one of the central streets of the precinct.
The creation of the Civil Guard, one of the most valued institutions in Spain, was published in La Gaceta de Madrid on May 14, 1844, after the end of the War of Independence against the French army, a time in which the serious problem of citizen security that Spain suffered, and especially in rural areas, worsened.
