Zona Franca participates in Chiclana in a work meeting of the Southern European Logistics Platform

The State delegate in the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, participates this afternoon in a work meeting in which the members of the Southern European Logistics Platform will meet, an initiative promoted by the mayor of Cádiz, Teófila Martínez, and made up of the Free Zone and the city councils of Cádiz, Jerez and Algeciras and the Provincial Council of Cádiz, to study and prepare the next actions to be developed in different national and international forums.

The work and coordination meeting will allow setting the date of signing an agreement, which will certainly be signed at the end of this month, for the development of joint actions.

Among other actions, the agreement contemplates the promotion of the Southern European Logistics Platform abroad, and in this sense the Cádiz Free Trade Zone will participate in the World Forum of Logistics Platforms, which will be held in Manzanillo (Mexico) from May 28 to 30, which will be attended by the Minister of Development, Ana Pastor.

In addition, Zona Franca and the other members of the Platform will participate in different informative sessions to take the Brand to all possible forums, in order to attract economic activity to the province.

In this way, at the beginning of June the Cádiz Consortium will be present at the Barcelona International Logistics Show, an important meeting for this sector.

Also in the month of June, the Logistics Platform and its representatives will be in Jerez, which will be the scene of the International Congress of Foreign Trade Professionals, an event dedicated exclusively to foreign trade and that will cover aspects such as marketing, sales, financing and means of payment, customs management, exempt areas, transportation and logistics, and legal and tax aspects.

The initiative has already participated in different national and international forums, among which the Congress of Logistics Cities in Laredo (Texas, USA), the Meeting of Logistics Zones of Ibero-America and North Africa in Cádiz or the Spanish-Moroccan Business Meeting of Logistics and Transportation in Tangier stands out.

These joint actions to promote the Southern European Logistics Platform by Zona Franca, the town councils of Cádiz, Jerez, Algeciras, and Diputación acquire great importance because they will make it possible to publicize the potential of the province of Cádiz through the Platform in order to attract traffic.
The Chilanero Town Hall will be the scene of this work day due to the firm will of the Chilanero mayor, Ernesto Marín, to integrate into this important initiative and show his support for the Platform.
