The Free Zone of Cádiz has awarded in a public tender the exploitation of the paddle tennis courts that it built in the Interior Area of the Free Zone to a company from Cádiz. The lease contract for the facilities contemplates the exploitation of the facility for a period of 10 years and an annual amount of 20,000 euros.
The offer was published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and on the Consortium's website on January 10 and the presentation of offers ended on January 27.
The successful bidder, who will sign the lease contract with the Free Trade Zone in the coming days to begin operating on March 1, will carry out improvement works on the sports facilities, such as the total covering of the semi-covered courts so that they can be used even if the weather is unstable, in addition to the renovation of the locker room area.
In addition to the improvement of the facilities, they will remain open with flexible hours even at midday and will have competitive prices with special offers and rates for some groups. The facilities will also host a paddle tennis school and championships and camps for children will be organized in the summer months.
About six employees will work at the facilities, including reinforcement shifts for the weekends and the paddle school instructors.
The Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium built the 1,320 m2 sports facility within the framework of the execution of the work on the Europa Building and its area of influence, in a further commitment to diversify its activity and within its line of work to contribute to the development of socio-educational facilities and services to users.
