The Free Trade Zone will begin this Monday the demolition of the buildings at the Janer industrial estate in San Fernando

The demolition may begin with this speed as the Consortium has processed the necessary prior licenses urgently in order to speed up the deadlines.

The San Fernando City Council has authorized the demolition license presented at the end of last May

In parallel, the Consortium has obtained approval from the Delegation of Culture for the Preventive Archaeological Activity Project, an essential requirement as part of the plot is located in a BIC environment.

The perseverance and work that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone is carrying out to make the construction project of a Business Park on the plot of the old Janer Naval Estate in San Fernando a reality is bearing fruit and is beginning to materialize.
Thus, the demolition of the current buildings located in the industrial estate is imminent and may begin next Monday as the San Fernando City Council has authorized the demolition license, which was presented at the end of last May by the Consortium through emergency means in order to speed up the deadlines.
In parallel, Zona Franca has also obtained approval for the Preventive Archaeological Activity Project that it presented to the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Andalusia, a mandatory requirement to be able to begin the demolition because part of the plot is within a BIC environment (Asset of Cultural Interest).
In the framework of limiting the deadlines prior to the demolition to the maximum, the Consortium has already awarded the demolition works to the company Erri berri, which of the six companies invited to carry out the demolition was the one that presented the most advantageous economic offer, with an amount of 95,000€ (VAT not included) and deadlines of 9 days for drafting the project and 17 days for the execution of the works.
Since Zona Franca purchased the old Janer Shooting Range from the Ministry of Defense on March 6, it has worked intensely to expedite the procedures and proceed with the demolition, which will be a fundamental step to materialize the future Business Park, a very necessary project for the promotion and development of the economic activity of the city of San Fernando and the province of Cádiz.
